Dante's Paraphernalia

No Caption Provided

Over the course of Dante's immortal years, he has acquired an almost immeasurable number of items, and encountered various artifacts, some historical, some existing outside of modern time, due to having procured them from various other timelines, dimensions, and realms. At times, he would even claim items simply to keep them from mortal hands, rather than utilize them himself. Many of these items and artifacts have been added to his arsenal, others being made trophies of his experiences, while the rest have been carefully stored, and kept safe from those bearing the sin of greed. This compiles his most primarily used items and weapons, the artifacts that he keeps most close to him, and those that have been most seen by others.

Artifacts, Treasures, and Weapons

The Vault

The Key to the Vault
The Key to the Vault

The vast and powerful mystical crusaders' gate, dubbed by Aventus as "The Vault", is a metaphysical artifact, as well as a interdimensional place of storage. Originally having been forged in an effort between various masterful sorcerers and deities, the artifact itself accesses a unique quintessential energy to open a gate between space itself, revealing a shimmering, magnificent, and infinitely large mystical portal, in which an indefinite number of contents and storage are able to pass through it upon the mental command of the user. Dante's general use of the portal is to summon weaponry, mostly of medieval-descent. However, through deeper exploration of the portal's capabilities, he has learned to draw upon its quintessential energies to summon or forge weapons of all kinds, be it them demonic, draconic, or even modern. When the portal itself is opened, the user can either grasp whatever they've conjured in hand, pull them out from the portal itself, or even fire volleys of weapons through the air at a target, almost like projectiles. Should the user choose to empower the volleys with quintessential energies, the weapons themselves will detonate like bombs when they have reached their target. The Vault is where Dante stores the large majority of his treasures, many of which consist of weapons gathered overtime, enchanted artifacts, and other items of interest.

To energies needed to activate and open the vault have been condensed into a golden key-shaped artifact. The artifact itself is generally initially used to open the vault, thus allowing for the one whom is the master of the key to mentally command its capabilities, unless of course the vault has already been left open (As usual in Aventus' case). If the vault is already opened up, then the user would be rendered able to manipulate it however he pleases, without further need for the key. However, the key possesses a second use: The ability to unlock and summon items that have been further sealed away inside of the metaphysical vault, almost as though unchaining them from their binds.

Once activated, the Prince of Power has the choice of calling upon items to him, or firing off weaponry in a similar fashion to bullets. At his choice, he has been able to place his own treasures and items with its depths, free to call open them whenever he is ready. Depending on the type of weapons or artifacts being summoned (As well as the energies being tapped into to summon said devices), the colors and aura of the portal would change accordingly. For example, if demonic weapons were being summoned, the portal would turn crimson, the aura becoming jagged, with periodic streaks of lightning being emanated from it. Were he to conjure weaponry used by beings of godly descent, (Asgardians for example), the portal would turn a vivid golden, with the aura becoming softer, and sporting occasional ripples.

There are two drawbacks to the portal, however. While it can seemingly summon any form of weapon, it is incapable of summoning items bearing unique capabilities, unless the item in question has already been stored within depths. For example: If he was combating someone who utilized a blade imbued with fire magic, he would be incapable of calling upon an exact replica of the blade, only able to summon something that is identical in appearance. However, he himself can empower weapons called from the gate with his own magic, and thus, create replicas in his own way. Its final drawback is that, while it can fire weapons at rapid amounts, prolonged use of the portal, or conjuring items at vast amounts, will begin to put a drain on it, one that will temporarily make it unable to summon items. This drain will begin to wear off overtime, enabling its use once more.

Because of the unique nature that the portals and key works, it is rendered immune to simply being duplicated or copied. The quintessential energies condensed inside of the key prevent it from being replicated without going through the hard, unknown process that created the original. However, should one manage to wrest control of the key away from Dante and force it to change masters, they would gain control of the vault.

Windcry

"Take heed, stranger. For as this blade ruptures the soul, it belittles reality."

The Sword of Apocalypse, the cursed blade of souls, the deadly weapon that has traversed the world of Aetheroth. One of Dante's most powerful weapons, named Windcry, is an extraordinarily powerful runesword that was imbued with the energies of the Nether, and crafted from a uniquely hard kind of metal, Aetheroth's equivalent to the modern-world's 'Adamantium'. The Paragon of Potential came to acquire this blade a mere couple months ago, after having traveled into the depths of Aetheroth at the summoning of the blade's previous owner, Balthazar, the Nether King. Balthazar's plan was to merge his own consciousness into Dante's own, as to use a new vessel to continue leading the forces of the Dark Phalanx. However, to what surely would have been the Nether King's great displeasure, Dante's personality dominated following the merge, thus preventing the return of the malevolent dark lord, as well as the uprising of the Phalanx.

Windcry, empowered by the forces of the Cthonian element, nether, is capable of utilizing those energies for a substantial amount of purposes. The blade itself grows stronger with every soul trapped within its depths, subjecting them to a form of eternal damnation, unless the user decides to use the entrapped souls for some sort of purpose. Should one wish, they could utilize the blade to call for the soul of one deceased, and resurrect them into a new body. The blade is capable of summoning soulless corpses at the user's command, and can control ice, frost, and winds. With it, one would even be capable of channeling blast of necrotic energy. If one is killed, or brought upon the brink of death due to the sword, the user has a chance at draining the soul of his/her victim, where it will be forever trapped within the depths of the weapon, permanently.

Windcry's strongest ability, referred to as 'Apocalyptic Storm', summons an enormous amount of necrotic energies from the realm of the nether, where they are stored within the depths of the blade. The blade itself, while already emitting copious amounts of mist and cobalt light, would begin to crackle with what appears to be electricity. Next, Dante would raise the blade into the air, at which he would be surrounded in a mass haze of ebony power. Finally, he would bring the blade down in a slashing motion, at which the summoned energies would burst from the blade itself, first rupturing the surrounding area. Those in dangerously close proximity would be reduced to mere skeletons in seconds, with their souls pulled from their bodies, into the blade. Meanwhile, extending to a MUCH wider distance (Depending on how much energy was summoned), the atmosphere would be overcome with heavy, chilling winds, while the ground would begin to shake, almost like an earthquake. Those unable to handle the sudden climate change would more than likely be sent to their deaths, frozen solid. At full force, the apocalyptic storm's energies would be capable of tearing entire pocket dimensions, or causing temporary distortions in reality itself, in a small radius.

It is currently among one of the most powerful items that Dante has acquired, and for its own protection, has been stored within the depths of the Crusader's Portal. Because of its history, in a sense, the blade possesses a degree of sentience, enabling King Aventus to speak with it and command it to do certain things. Due to how powerful it is, whenever it is summoned from inside of the portal, its energies cause the portal to temporarily deactivate. Presumably, this is because of the nether-like energies creating an odd effect with the portal's quintessential energies. Thus, Dante only summons is when he deems his opponent/threat worthy to the point of being faced with it...

Customized Lightsaber

Dante's Lightsaber
Dante's Lightsaber

Dante's lightsaber (Or lightsabers, in some cases) is an elegant, ceremonial, and galactic weapon primarily used in combat by those capable with The Force. It is a highly distinctive device, comprised of a vibrant blade of pure plasma constantly held within a mystical field of containment. The field itself contains the energy and heat of the plasma, purposely condensing it into a shape akin to a blade. The silver and black composition of the hilt, designed by Dante himself, has been equipped with a number of technological components that enable the blade to be retracted and projected at will, weightless attunement harmoniously converging with his mystical powers to properly wield it. The technology of the lightsaber itself has been designed to prevent shortages should it make any contact with water, as well as possessing mystical power cells that can sustain for an incredible period of time, and can be easily recharged by Aventus himself.

A lesser known component that King Aventus' lightsaber possesses, at will, he is able to shift the colorization of the lightsaber crystal to any color desirable, though Dante commonly shifts the colorization of the projected plasma to red. Not only that, but should a certain mechanism on the lightsaber be activated, two small holes will open up on either side of the hilt's rim, which will emit a constant stream of plasma when the blade is projected. When used, the lightsaber itself is able to cut or burn through most substances, materials, and metals with the exception of materials with durability akin to adamantium (Or slightly less than it). Injuries or wounds inflicted by a lightsaber tend to become cauterized do to the immense heat generated by the plasma, rarely ever causing any profuse bleeding. Not only this, but the lightsaber itself, primarily due to the mystical field enveloping the plasma, possesses an effect that enables it to make contact (and even deflect) rounds from firearms, galactic firearms, and even other lightsabers.

The Arcane Shackles

No Caption Provided

The Arcane Shackles, as Dante has taken to calling them, is yet another incredibly powerful tool residing in the depths of the Crusader's Portal. The shackles themselves are perhaps one of the oldest artifacts that he possesses, having had them in his collection for centuries, since before his initial transformation into a demon. The chains themselves, while not necessarily empowered by arcane energy as their name might imply, are capable of restraining sources of mystical power, namely people. When used to entrap another, the golden shackles will begin to snake around the target, binding them as chains generally do. However, the most important thing about the shackles, is that when used upon a person bearing any magical power (Sorcerers, sorceresses, witches, warlocks, etc), it will temporarily turn their energies against them, using it to completely hold them in place, for an indefinite amount of time. The stronger of the magic user is, the tighter the chains will be around them.

Seemingly defying normality in its nature, Dante appears to be able to project a number of lengths and sections of the chain, to the point where he can ensnare multiple points of the targets body, without limitations or restrictions regarding length. In a way that bears similarities to a harpoon, he is able to attach a blade to the tip of one of the shackle's ends, impaling his target whilst pulling them in whatever direction that the blade was projected from. When utilized against regular individuals, the arcane shackles are simply rendered an abnormally tough set of chains, their composition somewhat below that of adamantium. While one possessing a certain degree of strength and will would be capable of breaking them, they appear to automatically regenerate themselves afterwards. For a magic user to break lose, they would have to muster up a particularly great amount of power to nullify the shackle's effects.

As with The Avatar's artifacts and treasury, Dante has spent an unknown period of time familiarizing himself with various forms of technology and mechanical advancements. From modern technology, to advanced mechanical constructs thought to belong somewhere far off into the future, and even scientific applications lost throughout the millennials. His time spent as the deputy director of Prime Enterprises has refined his understanding and prowess in regards to science and technology, making him something of a genius in numerous fields of science, enhanced by his own exploration of the cosmos and various realms of the vine universe. Beyond that, he has been able to assimilate various armors and suits into his collection, unrelated to his scientific prowess, but important, nonetheless.

Armor of Supremacy

No Caption Provided

A newly crafted, particularly refined piece of innovative technology, the armor of supremacy was forged in Dante's current attempt to harmonically meld science and magic into one. A project that he had been privately working on since acquiring the unknown lab in the depths of the main Prime Enterprises building, the armoring appears to have been crafted from an mysterious, particularly durable substance, mystically fortified to provide an incredible degree of protection. From the outside, it would appear to somewhat resemble a suit of armor belonging to some kind of knight, with numerous changes, of course. However, the inner design of the suit itself heavily distinguishes from what it appears to be, giving many a false impression when first sighting it (And in some cases, can enable opponents to drop their guard when faced with it).

Numerous systems, including HUD scanning, identification, and ocular mechanisms have been implemented into it, along with having been connected with Dante's supercomputer. By ways of magic, the suit itself has been connected to the Avatar's mind, enabling it to be controlled through his thoughts. This also appears to be connected with some kind of security system, as the suit will only activate and properly work for he who created it, unless mentally controlled to work for others. Should one attempt to enter the suit, they would be forced to figure out some kind of way to make it unlock itself, a feat that would be particularly tough to go through with on its own. However, once inside, the suit itself would begin to seal the unfortunate individual within it, before emitting a painfully electrical shock capable of rendering them unconsciousness, or even, near the brink of death.

One of the AOS' most useful capabilities, is the ability to meld other materials into its structure, and even absorb currents of energy into it. When it comes into contact with another sort of metallic material or armor, Dante has the option to begin absorbing and melding the material into the suit itself, something he doesn't do quite often. The armor's viridescent hood and cloak, which can be removed and attached at will, appears to have been crafted from some sort of moderately durable weave, rather than simple cloth. It is capable of sustaining gunfire, but prolonged attacks can cause it to tear.
