So, a super criminal that has Batman AND Joker characteristics? That sounds pretty cool!

Part 1, of a 4 issue miniseries that will certainly be on YOUR top 10 comic book series of all time!

    The Good

Not many fictional villains can actually make being bad look like SO much fun.
Not many fictional villains can actually make being bad look like SO much fun.

There is only a handful of stories that I re-read on a annual bases -- NEMESIS is one of them! Nemesis is one of my favorite and most original stories about a fictional character. Better yet, a [fictional] super criminal!

Nemesis is the product of an idea to combine Batman's smarts with Joker's psychotic behavior, ultimately creating the perfect criminal! To me personally, the first issue is all about tone and getting readers excited for a series. If a creative team fails that, they can make it up in the latter issues. However, it can be a challenge. But thankfully, Millar & McNiven did a great job setting up the tone and the plot for the later issues! And man was it epic!

Miller really did a good job at introducing us to Nemesis' smarts in this issue. It gave us a really brief taste of what he is capable of and it showed us that he only picks certain officials to actually humiliate then murder. A bit different from a usual villain you'd see in a regular comic book. However, this is NOT a regular comic book. Long story short, through Miller's writing he introduced to us a character that has many layers to a complex psyche. And he wouldn't be able to achieve it without McNiven's artwork. His artwork really captures Nemesis' world perfectly and gives us a hint at all the insane overly violent interior art scenes we will see in future issues!

    The Bad

I joke you not, it should be longer!

It should be longer! That's my only complaint.

    The Verdict

If you've never heard or seen of Nemesis, I recommend buying all 4 issues. Yup, all FOUR ISSUES! Yeah I usually say, "just check out the first issue -- then decide after that", but with such a great series that should've gone on longer or had a spin off series, all four issues is totally worth whatever it cost. This series is creative in all the right ways, not just in the story, but also in the artwork and design. Overall 5 out of 5.

Hurm....I'm Not Sure About This One... 0

First off let me say, when it comes to Mark Millar you either like his stuff or hate it. Well Nemesis isn't any different, you either like it or hate it and I got to say despite all it's flaws I liked it.   Lets start with all the good stuff.... Well the art is amazing, I didn't expect any less from someone as great as McNiven. It seems like Mark Millar has a nack for hiring the best of the best when it comes to artist. Steve McNiven's artwork is great as always and every panel is amazing to loo...

      Nemesis pwns Kick-Ass 0

Review:    All I can say to express my feelings for this comic is...F**King AMAZING!!! Millar and McNiven really out done themselves this time. I can say why Millar wanted to make a charcter that would be like Batman but taking The Joker route. You could say Nemesis is the Anti-Batman but more crazier and has no consideration for others. That being said, I'm glad this is a completely different character. Nemesis is an intelligent super criminal who goes after inspector's/ the bestest cops in the...
