Tempered Steel - Strongarm v. Shadowswordmaster oc/rp

A fun sparring, meeting session between the cyborg blademaster and the vegan undeath. It starts in the open fields between alaska, and canada where two swordsmen made an agreement. It is an invitation that spreads from one side to the world for another, two half mechanic beings. One of interlocked circuit boards, another of interwoven clockwork.

Happy Day

It was one of those days where you get a feeling of joy, after vanquishing various swordsman type superfighters for a warmup you get challenged by canadian samurais. A type of warrior as common as the new york ninjas that randomly pop up when the yakuza come to town, but the canuck swordspersons are on a slightly higher level compared to the urban acrobats. These are men and women who have trained themselves in the way of the wolverine, yet they serve only to decorate the open field with their warm bodies.

They are not dead, as Ulther refrains from killing people. As with the superfighters he only takes the liberty to beat them three quarters to death with the blunt edge of his summoned sword ,the 'party' edge is only saved for good fights. One such as this one with a name in the field of fencing, Ulther awaits his visitor as he stand half naked in the rain. Long pants to cover his legs as tattoos cover the rest of his skin, long hair stretched back to his trapezoids and a unique sword extended from the palm of his hand.

It is in this era that he must invent ways to find leisure, with drones mucking about in the once free skies it is more bothersome to find challengers to draw his sword. It serves as a brush to release his artistic technique, and an extension of his burning passions. He may be half dead but this activity makes him feel very much alive.

After he time in the Rocky Mountains rethinking about his strange life .One of his new goals to spar with unusually swordsmen to either learn something of it or rethink something that he learned from the past but he work for the future and that his swordsmanship can be used to the best of it's abilities. Then if some strange turn of events the cybernetic swordsmen got a strange invite or a challenge to a sparing on the border of Alaska and Canada , this was strange but no that strange for the one eyed cyborg.

He took him time to get to the place where he would meet the the person who sent the message .The rain was coming down but not as hard but almost to that point where it would be consider it.There was little to no snow on the ground but he could see a man siting there waiting for something or someone but Sawyer knew this was the person that he was looking on this dueling field.The cyborg took a bow before introducing himself to confirm that he was the cybernetic swordsmen."I'm Sawyer I hope I'm the cyborg that you are looking for in this duel." he said towards the man siting there.

He took off his black leather jacket that has covering his adamantium shell and put on the ground.He then took the sword handle from his left arm and in one swift motion took it out and extend the adamantium blade.Using both hands to hold the blade and made a stance with one leg in front of the other almost like a samurai like stance with his blade in front of the cyborg.

Ulther is excited to see this new technology and he wants to see it in action. Human type swordspersons bore him, he wants to see precision that can be offered by a machine. Not one that is a byproduct of dedication and training, but one from calculations and binary. His heart craves for new experience, things that will not be forgotten in his library of memories. Being a revenir the concept of life is kept by the mind, and nothing keeps a mind going like the rush of excitement. The free flow of ideas granted from curiosity and materialized with exploration.

The rain washed his hair, it cleanses the blood of others spattered on his chest. They wet his eyes, and reminded him what it was like to sweat again. Winds push the rain to cover different angles, lightning began to strike in the distance. No arena would be more perfect for an event as exciting as this, the ground is slippery with the remains of snow. "My name is Ulther and I commend thee for coming to this event", sawyer? that name has a nice ring to it. Iron-Lord does not know that 'cyborg' is but it does sound reminiscent to knight in some way.

Psychic metal, the kind that does not damage the physical form is heated up with something that does. In theory this will create an image of a blade that will effortless phase the material world without leaving as much as a tiny microfracture, yet it will send a 'cut' deep into the mind. However the 'heat' will still carry over to mark the structures of the material realm, each swing leaving a trail of embers. It is a sword of subterfuge that offers no defensive qualities whatsoever but will bring a degree of confusion. This is a kind of weapon that does not obey the law of Physics. One hand carried this summoned sword, the other hand is placed at the back of his waist.

The strange man know as Ulther look dangerous by both his stance and what is around which were the dead of past challengers .This made the cyborg rethink Ulther and what he could be and what he could do to some like him a cyborg with enhancements that were above a normal human.

Then he saw something that would be consider magic but he has seen magic before during his time with the vampire Leon.The blade itself was strange but what it could he doesn't know but doesn't wish to know .

He would not move an inch but only stand still like a statue staring at Ulther.The reason behind this is that he would not be the one to make the first move but only to counter it with his own blade.

Some of the bodies began to moan, unsurprisingly because internal burn wounds hurt a lot. The rain and lightning did not help calm them down as they began to crawl erratically to find shelter, yet there stood Sawyer. Like a mountain the man did not move, both of them collected raindrops.

Considering plus and minuses in terms of weaponry it is clear that Sawyer has the higher offensive output in the short term, since he told Abelith to standby it means that he 'can' get damage from metal weapons. Bacchus is told to be a spectator as well so that the winds of change stay in the hands of both fighters. In an exchange if timing is not perfect the adamantium will phase through his blade and something will certainly fly off his body. However his stick bypasses defense and sends white hot heat inside enemies without resistance, it does that while screwing up their thinking process.

His blade became enveloped in a cloak of steam as rain passed through the heat, transmuted into vapor. He began to move his sword hand in a circular pattern as he generated a curtain of steam. Removal of sight is a nice way to start off a good battle, next as the steam began to spread over at the initial spot there seems to be no Ulther. He blended in with the veil of the vapor, he wonders if Saywer is equipped with means of detection.

A strike is approaching from the left side of the cyborg.

The rain drops hit the metal and making little sounds off the adamanitum shell .The rain drops made a rhythmic sound almost a song in the making but what took it out is the sounds of the moaning people that were still alive but for how long he didn't know.

Then the blade that Ulther had begin to produce steam coming from the rain. Ulther made a curricular pattern with the blade and then he was gone.Could this be a some technique with the sword that Ulther had or is it something Ulther had learn from something else.

Sawyer closed his only eye and begin to listen to see if he could hear something that is not the rain or the noises that the people lying on the ground moaning in pain from Ulther attack. Then he heard something on the left that was not rain drop or a moan but a really soft sound like a foot stepping on some snow or was it the mud , could Ulther be coming from the left or was this a trick but then Ulther attack.

He was not ready for the attack but he had a feeling in the end he was unable defend to the extent he wanted to.He able to dodge the strange but the blade hit the left arm of Sawyer and a he could feel it and see it burn but with his reflexes he was ok but the left arm was damage he could still use but instead he play it safe and not use it.

He jumped away from Ulther now using his right arm to hold his sword.His one eyed stared at Ulther and then he made the attack using his lighting like speed that no normal eye could see.He planned to use a slash across the body and then a slash at the right arm hoping to disable it.

He felt bad for beating up canadians and alaskans along the way, but they wanted to challenge his sword skills and even brought him to the revered alaskan bushido dojo. It would be a sham to refuse their convictions, his beatings are just his way of saying 'thank you'

It is a trick picked from one of his past lives, where at the end there is this swordsman at the orient who moved her blade in a circular motion as the moon is behind her. Using a split second to disappear and reappear after his head is separated from his shoulders. Five minutes until death he contemplated about his cause of death, since there is no moon he improvised with steam. There is nothing like a good surprise to start off a battle.

His form became one with the environment, his presence is almost nonexistence as he has eliminated his heartbeat. Every ticking that carried with his core went through as seconds pass away into the past, the groans although unintended did some help to further mask his location. With timing he reappeared with a slash, but it appears that Sawyer saw that attack in advance. But if he were to fall to such an attack then there will be no point in fighting.

In a nick of fortune the orange blade made contact with the cyborg's left arm, it did not 'wound' in the conventional way as there was no resistance. The outside of the arm is still the same, however the damage will be seen in two categories. One is the slow burn on the inside, as heat can be felt. Two is the gradual appearance of 'doubt' as the metal itself cannot harm the physical form, only the mind. It is less of a sword and more of a stick of 'burn', one that is almost worthless in terms of defense.

Sawyer should not be worried about anything, a slash caught Ulther off guard. It went across his stomach, the second slash was evaded but not without damage. His pinkie flew off as the adamantium edge sent it back into the fields, however after the brief damage he had adjusted his tempo to accomodate the rythm of the challenger. The revenir closed the distance and returns with a rising vertical slash that started from the bottom , it is meant to cut all the way up.

After a successful attack against Ulther or what he thinks was an successful attack against Ulther. This counter attack that he was able to pull of made the one eyed swordsmen careful but he knew that this was the start of then match and he may have along ways to go in this match.Sawyer had be careful of his footing because there are things that he could trip on that might cost him the duel or even his strange life that he a had.Sawyer notice that he was able to take off the pinkie of Ulther right hand but it was something that he would not expect to do in a fight like this.

The strange burn that was on his left arm started to have a strange effect the inside of his robotic arm started to burn more then usually make his left arm even more useless then before.The came the the attack from Ulther which is a headstrong attack going forward right at him using a vertical slash going from the bottom on up.The attack came fast but Sawyer barely able to escape it by jumping back using his robotic legs and his inhuman to jump just out of range of the blade .

He landed with one foot on some snow and the other right next to a one of the people that face Ulther before and failed.Then when he jump back he jumped forward using his inhuman speed to aim right at the revenir.He planed to jump right at and using his right arm that holds his adamantium sword and plan to slash across the chest again and then stab Ulther in the right shoulder but this attack was going to be hard to pull becuase of the swordsmanship that Ulther had on him.

Damage check, loss of one finger and wound across the stomach. On the other side, wounded hand and psyche damage. Recounting everything that he had lived through so far he's had victories with worse injuries. The rain makes it fun as it increases the chances of mistakes, lubricating the entire field along with the leftover snow from the last weather altercation. It seems that he will need to get inside Sawyer's range to inflict more damage as the man has split-second reflexes, a challenge is presented. The wound from the orange sword is a weird one, Ulther applies the heat as it would be in a soldering iron. Applying the theory of a heat cutter, that the weapon has no 'sharpness' yet simply using heat to effectively sever things. The blade itself will not cut, but it will effortlessly slip in any conventional and unconventional material presented. It is the white hot that will do the damage, that and the fact that the blade cuts pieces of the mind. So it may cause doubt, perhaps in one's skills.

Ulther moved forward again in zig-zag motion, to attempt yet another attack after the failure of the follow up strike. Now he intends to break the rhythm of the cyborg, seeing that foot made contact with snow he pushes forward because there is a chance of a slip. But Sawyer takes off into the air to strike the revenir down, he is familiar of what Sawyer's slash looked like as he had experienced one wound to the stomach. The one to his chest is ducked, and he returns with a piercing motion to the left knee. Figuring that a slash would be too predictable by this great swordsman. The upper part of Ulther's shoulder is wounded by a stab, a stab which did not fully materialized, but it transitioned into a cutting motion.

He chose the knee to limit the motion of sawyer, and hopefully remove the jumps.

This duel was getting into a something difficult to fight because of the surroundings that they were .He was able to dodge and then attack but it was getting difficult to move and could cost him this duel or he could use this terrain as advantage from himself but just then Ulther came in swinging again but it seems that it was aiming for his leg more importantly the knee .

The attack came quicker then Sawyer had expect and was unable dodge it in time.The burning blade had made a burning that seem to burn hotter then the left arm for some reason.Sawyer fell to the ground when he hit the ground from the hit .In the cyborg's mind he was getting to the point that he was doubting himself about this whole duel he was in sure he got a few hit's in but he was on the wet snow with rain on his face.

He tired to get up with one arm and one leg but was hard with the weather and how the ground was in.

"You win this duel Ulther."Sawyer said with while laying on the ground."This was a great duel and I still have much to learn , I would bow to you but I'm unable to stand up right now."

Honestly speaking Ulther had his advantage in choosing the battleground, should the terrain change into that of another one results would be frankly different. It is just fortunate that neither of them were struck by lightning, the slippery state of the rain sloshed grounds coupled with leftover snow makes many types of sudden movement hectic. It prompts people to be more cautious of their surrounding while keeping their eyes fixated on their opponents on the same time.

His type of striking is not designed to immediately end things, yet it is designed to put the other individual into a path that leads to unfortunate events. As a thief he would prefer to have his foes rather alive, as they are worth more than dead. This mentality also extends to duels as well, there is no point in a dead adversary if they have proven to be great opponents. In an immortal life a rival is necessary to keep things from getting boring, and people of quality don't come in bunches. They must be selectively handpicked from the field of commoners, light bulbs among a world of candles. Sawyer's legs must felt weird by now, as the outside is perfectly fine but the circuits on the inside would be welded inwards. The psychological damage helps stop things before they get too dangerous, plus there is no shame in going back and getting stronger.

In the end the odds were favorable and he scored one for himself, but the revenir too has plenty to learn and questions to ask. Such as 'what if the weapon had been blessed?', 'what if the weapon negates immortality', and so on so forth.

"Thank you Sawyer. You have great points as well, look at it this way If I weren't an undead I would be lying on the mud with my guts spilled out on the open." the revenir walked to his worthy opponent and helped him up, letting the cyborg put an arm over his shoulder. "Now lets get you fixed"
