Elon Musk buys Twitter
Cool. It's looks like Real Life Tony Stark aka Elon Musk is making even more Big Waves. Not sure what this will mean for Twitter. I know a lot of People are upset about it though.
Seriously though, if he thinks he can make $44 billion worth of use out of a dying social media platform that seems to be good only for politicians, corporations, and obnoxious film snobs who think "The Oscars were wrong!" is a new and revolutionary hot take, fine, let him try.
It's ... weird to process what to make of it when some narcissistic dude you don't like buys a site you hate.

I don’t expect it to have much of an impact. But I really can’t bring myself to care about Musk or Twitter
Twitters a shithole.
If Musk burns it to the ground, I can only see that as a win.
So I predict only good coming from this.
I am pretty sure he will fuck shit up
I don't put to much stock in him doing much good but hopefully he will because that place is a shitshow. If it alll burns down I'll be fine with it.
So, when will he rename it to Tw@t?
So, when will he rename it to Tw@t?
You forgot the ter in Twatter.
@dernman: Nah, I should've actually said Tw@.
I just don't see what is there to be upset about yet. I mean people keep thinking RL Tony Stark is going to unleash these hounds from hell on Twitter but who knows what will happen ? Besides you can't just ignore stuff you don't agree with and stick with your own Feed and Fanbase ?
I think it's telling that many leftists are mad about this, and are afraid, NOT because they're scared of getting censored or banned. But rather, it's because their opponents who challenge their views won't get censored or banned... and they'll actually be forced to debate their terrible ideas on a completely even playing field again.
If your ideas can only hold weight because everyone else has been handicapped, then they're probably not good ideas at all.
Elon Musk is a very powerful and deeply libertarian man.
I believe that libertarianism is a utopia just as communism was in its time.
- The communist philosophy supposes that every man has at heart to work for the common good, which is not true and that caused the collapse of the system.
- Similarly, libertarianism promotes free and voluntary cooperation based on the axiom of non-aggression which states that no one can attack another by harming his person or his property. this axiom is unfounded, and without it the system cannot function.
I believe that, in the same way as communism, libertarianism exposes us to all kinds of excesses. A balance that brings well-being is to be found elsewhere.
