Why isn't Storm's solo book getting more love?

Last night I picked up the first trade via comixology and loved it.

This is the first time I've been able to really connect with storm as she is written in such a human way, and is shown doing more human things, and I love that. She's powerful and human at the same time--that's what I've always wanted.

What I really enjoy is that this solo series is such an introspective, mature read, as opposed to just big, dumb action. I like that Greg Pak isn't afraid to deal with issues like morality.

That being said, one point of contention I've seen is that some people are turned off by the first five issues reading more like one-shots as opposed to a traditional linear story. But I've also heard that issue six picks up and gives a us an actual story arc. Can someone verify this?

What do you guys think?

I liked it, one of the better ones that started recently..

I bought this book because I like Storm but I wasn't really expecting much. I'm happy I was wrong as this is one of the better books out now and I like seeing Storm in solo action.

I hope this book doesn't get canceled to soon =(

From Storm #4 til the #11 was getting better and better. So you should continue getting all of the issues.

Also I tried reading her series (the most recent one with the haircut) and honestly it's pretty boring :/

Her fan base made all the possible future buyers run away!!!

That's only in Storm #3. Not all of the images on that issue were terrible.

Inconsistent art, meandering plots that only cater to X-fans, and she's a black female heroine. Also, Storm is already featured consistently in five X-books; a solo title is a little overkill.

That being said, it's still a great book if you're a fan of the character.

Not a fan of the mohawk, but that won't keep me from reading the comic. Some of the comments here have actually persuaded me to give it a try.

I would buy it, but I kinda buy all the x-men (team) books. It looks good though.
