As being the heavy hitters of their respective universes, who's powers and abilities would you rather have.....the Asgardian God of Thunder or the Last Son of Krypton?

No Caption Provided

(and Yes, Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, is included with Thor)

Superman, X ray vision FTW!

Also, that's my all time favorite Superman picture, him taking on a hail of bullets and missiles!

Superman for me. Superspeed and innate flight. And I wouldn't have to worry about hanging on to a hammer.

Superman slimly, Thor has wayy more versatility with his hammer. But don't feel like carrying it all the time.

Super speed, Super strength, x-ray vision, lazer eye beams, ability to suck and blow large amounts of air/water, fly ... into outerspace alllll with no hammer .... only thing thor has that superman doesn't is a hammer he always has to carry around and the god blast .... so really no contest here supermans powers!!!

I want to say Superman because his physical abilities are superior, but Thor's hammer provides him with lots of options. Then I start rethinking things. I'd like magical abilities, but he's not Loki or anything and his access to magic doesn't really work the way I'm thinking I'd like. The weather control and energy absorbing are cool, but that's about it. As for Superman, his abilities are greater, but I don't know how much that really matters once you pass a certain point. The difference in their strength for example doesn't really matter unless they're fighting each other. I think what it comes down to for me is that I'd rather be able to think at incredible speeds and act at those speeds than mess with the weather or energy.

I was thinking I'd rather have Thor too, because of the magic, it doesn't work like Loki, but he is still a god and they all have the potential to work magic the way any other one does, so you could just practice and learn the kind of magic that Loki, Amora and other gods use.  Supermans powers are clear cut, but with Thor you have that godly essence thing going for you so there is potential for more up to and beyond having powers like Superman if you want them.

Superman. Faster, X-ray vision, and super intelligence is all I need to be happy. The only person who I would prefer to have powers would be martian manhunter. The only thing thor has is teleportation but honestly where would I teleport to that I couldn't fly to with super speed?

Superman easily... The Majority of Thor's Power comes from Mjolnir... whereas Superman has his own Powerset... and assuming we are talking about even the use of Pre Crisis Superman Level Powers... I would easily take Superman's Powerset... Easily.

nice except pre 52 superman has lifted wayy more than that and could still lift more. All Star Superman couldn't even enter the sun without recieving a fatal overdose of yellow sun radiation which was killing him. Pre 52 superman can casually enter the core of a star unharmed.

Current Superman has feats that blow all of those out of the water. EVen more All Star Superman could only lift that amount AFTER his strength had doubled...

I seen some people post that Thor lives millions and millions of years, I have never seen that to be true but I could be wrong, does anyone have scan of how old he actually is?

Anyhow It is a fact that Superman is alive and well in the 853 century with insane god like power that have evolved way beyond what he already had, it also did not appear that he would be dieing of old age any time soon. And for reasons that everyone already stated I would rather have Superman's powers.

@MyronLee26: Read a Superman respect thread or something. Off the top of my head:

Reacting within a nanosecond

pulling 1/2 of earth while it was been sucked backwards by a villian into a blackhole

pulling 1/3 of earth with WW and MM in JLA Obsidian Age

Flying in the core of the sun unharmed

Survivng in a DOUBLE blackhole and flying out eventually

Moving so fast his body vibrated through atoms like flash

Reprogramming machines using Heat vision

@MyronLee26: Apart from that his taken a supernova from near point blank range

Tanked two planets colliding into himself

Taken the equivalanet of 1 million nuclear warheads to the face unharmed

tanked the omega beams from Darkseid.

Torching an entire planet using his heat vision (said to be hotter than the core of any star)

Catching a ship the size of our moon and tossing it causally back into space.
