In Nightwing Annual 2, in a flashback scene Batgirl asks Robin whats up with the shorts and pixie boots. Robin explains that this just to throw villains off guard. They think he's just a goofy kid in a weird getup and underestimate him. At which point he kicks their asses.

Also Golden Age Robin was an 8 year old. Whch is really stupid in retrospect but explains the kiddy outfit. as Robin started ageing it began to look weird at which point he became Nightwing. Then eventually He became Batman and kicked ass.

I just want to address something totally annoying and condescending in this thread. The "they're just comic books" comments are the most unaware and ignorant things you could say on a site dedicated to discussing comic book characters, writers and artists. We all spend our money on comics, our time reading them and more time on this site discussing them. So they're more than jut comic characters they're apart of our lives. important enough to solicit our time and money so to dismiss someones feelings about a character with the argument that "they're just comic characters" is facile. And if you really feel that way then stop reading comics and leave the site. Or i guess you could stay and troll.

Yes the original batgirl and batwoman were created to divert attention from that stupid article.but if you had picked up even a single issue between then and now ; you'd realise how drastically the situation has changed. The original batwoman is D.C. s nick fury now while batgirl was paralysed for 25 years. Did you even know? Barbara reinvented herself as cyber hacker Oracle after joker shot and paralysed her.during this time she had one of the best and most believable relationships with the now adult dick Grayson leading to him going down on one knee and her accepting.

Initially both were created as foils for the dynamic duo ala Bianca castafiore in tintin. Because batman was a book exactly like tintin.ie devoid of sexuality and just fun adventure stories for specifically YOUNG BOYS. As in preteens. That age where you are in complete disdain of the fairer sex.

Dick Grayson has been written with a number of strong love interests including starfire and huntress.

Batman was a "hairy chested sex god in the 70s" with good love interests like talia and silver st cloud.80s batman did not have any great love interests.90s either. 2000s has been overflowing with women for bruce. The fac tht is batman does not have definitive love interest unlike dick because as he admits in batman inc its because he believed he would never love again once his parents died that caused his war with talia. What kind of thread is this? It's been already established that Batman is a straight character! Yes, it's weird how he takes in apprentices at a young age and slaps them into costume tights but other then being weird, He gives no indication he's interested in men only. There's also the fact the character so far has been given female, love interests like Talia Al Ghul, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Vicky Vale, and more. And there's also no indication he's a perv, either. He is somewhat grim and somewhat a loner and has trouble expressing any emotions that express happiness. And he's quite intelligent. In addition, he has morals.

I don't get the point of the thread. You just posted pictures of Bruce doing oddly weird things with Dick and and the other robins with editted photos or photos from the comic. Be mindful that some pictures I saw were taken out of context to whatever the situation was and because of that, It looks weird unless you perhaps see the last panel of whatever page that picture appears.

And the other Robins are straight by the way. Especially Dick Grayson. Funny because he's portrayed as a Ladies Man and even had IGN's vote for sexiest man in comics and many expressed that's a no brainer. And he's the one people mostly known to associate batman doing "peverted" things with him.
