Ok so after a long absence, i'm back and i'm celebrating my return with my MCU Captain America Respect Thread (Finally haha). There is a few low quality AOU gif's in here, so be warned if you haven't seen the movie yet. I'll update them when videos start coming up on YouTube.

    Anyway, here it is.

    Reaction Time

Cap has a fair few in combat reaction time feats that make him a beast in CQC.

    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers

Here Cap avoids a strike from Loki. This is notable as Loki could match Thor in H2H combat, Thor being able to dodge repulser fire at close range, making this a respectable if not outright impressive feat.

From Captain America; The Winter Soldier
From Captain America; The Winter Soldier

Here Cap matches and blocks The Winter Soldiers strikes with ease, whilst avoiding a knife. Notable due to the Winter Soldiers high close combat skills.

From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

A really impressive feat that has gone under the radar, here Cap manages to block multiple bullets from completely different angles, all fired from close range.

    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron

Here Cap avoids an Ultron Drone flying at him at speed, then times his landing to crush a second Drone.

From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Here he turns to see the pirate reaching for the alarm and proceeds to react to, throw the knife and hit his hand all in one fluid motion.

    Strength & Striking Feats

Cap has a large amount of Strength feats that put him beyond the range of peak human and well into the range of Superhuman.

From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The First Avenger

Cap consistently demonstrates the ability to send human, or even beings with a stronger physical condition (Chitauri and Ultron Drones), massive distances with single strikes. These hits are often hard enough to leave large indentations in metal structures, such as cars or large gas bottles.

From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The First Avenger
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron

He has also consistently shown a propensity for throwing or rag-dolling opponents physically weaker than himself, often throwing them dozens of meters to devastating effect.

    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron

Cap also has significant striking feats against opponents of superhuman conditioning. Above he manages to hit Loki hard enough to make him stumble (*note this is prior to the extensive training period between the events of The Avengers and The Winter Soldier). He also has strong showings against The Winter Soldier, an opponent close to, if not equal to, Caps own physical strength. However his display against Ultron MkII, the same form that engaged Iron Man equally in hand to hand combat, is perhaps his best. Here, Cap manages to throw Ultron hard enough to shatter concrete (of note as Ultron has flight and magnokinetic abilities). Cap then proceeds to turn Ultrons' subsequent attack into a spear tackle, with enough force to smash through the exterior of a moving train.

    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron

One of Cap's best strength feats, here he throws a motorbike hard enough to completely arrest the forward momentum of a jeep and shatter the front of the vehicle.

From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

An exceptionally impressive feat, here Cap raises a fallen beam of The Winter Soldier long enough for him to escape. These is extremely impressive. Given the size of the main beam (roughly 8-9 meters long, close to a meter wide and half a metre thick, and assuming it is common carbon steel, the beam would weigh roughly 25-35 tons. This is in addition to the two smaller beams that are roughly two meter's long. Adding their additional weight (10-15 tons), Cap is attempting to move 35-50 tons of steel, in such a way that the weight is spread out and more difficult to move than if one was trying to press the structure. Now, in no way is Cap capable of lifting or striking with 50 tons of force, however it is still an impressive feat.

    Deathlok pushing a bulldozer
    Deathlok pushing a bulldozer

Another feat to note, in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Season 1, Episode 10 "The Bridge", super-soldier/gamma/cyborg hybrid Deathlok pushes a bulldozer across a field. When he asks his trainer if he beat Captain America's time, he is told he was not even close. A quick internet search said standard Bulldozers range anywhere from 30 to 60 tons, so this is an exceptional feat. The nature of the feat makes it difficult to use in any meaningful way.

    Durability

Cap has taken some insane levels of punishment, and his shield allows him to take and withstand obscene amounts of damage.

From Captain America: The First Avenger
From Captain America: The First Avenger
    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers

Cap regularly takes hits from high end opponents, such as Red Skull & Winter Soldier (both peak to low level superhuman), Loki and Ultron (Both veritable superhuman in strength).

From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron

Cao has consistently show the capacity to survive falls from great heights, showing a level of durability that puts him well beyond the realm of peak human.

From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Here Cap takes a shot from a grenade launcher, the subsequent force sending him dozens of meters, off the edge of a bridge and through the front of a bus.

    Agility

Cap's high physicals allow him a level of agility well beyond that of a regular human, and his skills and training grant him the precision to perform complex manoeuvres under pressure.

    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
    From Avengers: Age of Ultron
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Cap's agility has repeatedly been used to avoid or defeat large, moving targets, often under high amounts of enemy fire.

    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers
    From The Avengers
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier
From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Cap has also been shown to his agility to traverse terrain and in H2H combat, showing his versatility and adaptability.

    Fighting Skills

I don't think gif's will do Cap's H2H skills justice, so I will just link some of his best fights.

Sooooo there ya have it, MCU Captain America. Thinking i'll do Hulk or Falcon next, let us know which one would all prefer.

Good stuff. Cap's portrayal as a fighter in MCU has always been pretty cool, and it's improving with TWS and AoU.

@spector_rand: There's another strength feat in AoU at the end no one really caught. He kept the car from falling off the bridge until the bumper gave way and in his first movie he lifted a motorcycle with two or 3 woman on it over his head with little effort. Also have you seen his feats in the tie ins?

@spector_rand: Great Stuff! Also one more feat to add for his durability of jump from high heights. When hydra is first launching the helicarriers in CA:WS, Cap and falcon are running next to each other towards a ledge. Falcon asked him how do we tell the good guys from the bad? Then Cap jumps of the ledge and falls what looks to me like a 200ft drop or so.

@birdman400: If memory serves, they once went toe to toe in JLA/Avengers, something which consisted of the two of them testing each other, then Batman coming to the conclusion that Steve would eventually beat him, before putting the matter aside to discuss with Steve the fact that both their teams were being played. And this is 616 Cap, who is notably less powerful than Ultimate Cap, upon whom MCU Cap's physical stats are based. Then again, 616 Cap can dodge bullets, so... Anyhow, Batman's got no chance in a straight fight and he'd be a fool to seek one. Since he is not a fool, he'd use his gadgets and skills to slow Cap down, etc. And even then, I'd give it to Cap 8 times out of 10.

Anyway, just dropping by to say that Civil War has some excellent Cap feats. Going simply with the ones shown in the trailer, he's shown comfortable outrunning cars and matching Tony in a raw slugfest.

8/10 ? don't be stupid , I stand by my statement of 6/10 , MCU keeps boosting his physical stats for no reason , he is getting older ,

Cap is getting significantly more powerful. And there aren't signs of this stopping. I wonder how powerful will he be by Infinity War ? Also, this thread needs to be updated, it hasn't even got all of his feats from AOU, such as casually ripped apart and one shot titanium bots, supported the weight of an entire car, etc

yea that's what kept him alive when he was frozen , but he still ages at a normal pace now since he is like 80 years old technically and the serum kinda allows him to live at most 30 years more than the average person

@birdman400: Tell the truth, we don't know whether MCU Cap truly possesses semi-immortality or not. But based on the fact that he get significantly more powerful the older he aged ( kinda like a vampire ), i would bet that he does truly possess semi-immortality.

@birdman400: I doubt he was aging normally while frozen and unless they mention age as a factor going forward I see no reason it should be a consideration.

@tsol: I don't see why MCU Cap would age. Either way, he's still only in his twenties.

@spector_rand: I went ahead and uploaded some of the MCU comic tie in scans from my collection, if you want to add them to you're respect thread I'll leave them here.

Cap showing his reflexes, tactical ability, and skill with shield throwing/fighting.

Cap fighting a Hydra soldier in Power Armor.

Cap in the first four scans showing off his speed, he saves the same hydra soldier from being crushed by the hydra tank, closing the gap in a split second, in the following scans Cap blocks a blast, but is knocked against the wall hard enough to crater it, he is briefly stunned, but recovers in time to dodge a plasma blast, and in the last scan he is using his agility to do the same thing again.

Cap leads the howling commandos and throws his shield hard enough to splinter a door, showing his speed he catches up to it instantly.
