Comic Vine Votes! – Best of the Month (Jan 2012) ***RESULTS***

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking: Poet must be mad! He just posted the results of Febuary’s Best of the Month poll! Why is he posting the results of January near the end of March?

I’ll explain but first we take a trip through the Waybac Machine (please tell me I am not the only one who knows what I talking about!) back to January. My predecessor, Cosmo111687, did the Comic Vine Votes! - Best of the Month (JAN 2012) Poll. However, the project was halted when Cosmo was too busy, so the results were never posted. Then, I took over and we did the February vote. Now, to tie up some loose ends here are the results of the Best of the Month of January!

I think I should explain something about this portion of the result. Technically, the winner of the title of Villain of the Month is “Sinestro – Green Lantern #5” with a total of 6 points (2 people put him as #1 on their lists of villains when they voted) with Talon coming in with only 5 pts, but I need to use my hosting rule-biding powers for this result. A character is only considered a villain if the comic they are nominated with contains the character being a villain.

Although the comic in question contains mentions of him being a villain in the past, he is shown in the comic fighting for his people as a hero. There is a Professor Insidd who would be considered an antagonist in this comic or the Guardians of the Universe at the very end (2 month old spoiler ftw!), but Sinstro is not a villain in this comic. I apologize to the two users who voted for this character: it was an oversight which I am sure my predecessor would have caught.
