Where does the X from X-Men come from

can you help me out? I tried to figure out where the Xcomes from. is it from Charles Xavier or maybe from Weapon X? What do you think? Or does anybody know?

I believe it is after the X-Gene that all Mutants have. The X-Gene might be named after Xavier but everything else is named after the X-Gene.

How dare Sheldon lie about the origin or the "X" in the X-men!!!

I actually remember that episode.... it was a funny one. Then again all the BBT episodes are funny. My favourite is still the episode where Sheldon has to go to court and misses meeting Stan Lee....

Back on-topic: I always assumed that the x-men were names after Charles. Didn't know the true origin. Very interesting.

seems to be, then again Charles may have just been being cute with Jean in that instance. We all know what he was really thinking anyways. Just saying.

The X means "Ex" which means they were only human or man, so the X is there to represent they were men. Ehhh if that made any sense, if it doesnt ill edit it later.......
