The wind was stronger now, picking up the light trash scattered across the streets of New York. The empty streets, the flashing traffic lights, the vehicles abandoned and some crashed into the glass panes that made up the walls of small stores. Steve Rodgers unclipped the shield from it’s holder equipped on his back. The clouds moved in quicker, getting darker and darker. A storm begun, water drizzling down onto the abandoned streets, lightning illuminating the sky, thunder cracking throughout the stars. Suddenly in a large crack thundered throughout the sky, as a large, white flash of light smashed into a car about twenty yards away from Rodgers.
The car’s alarm started, as a woman figure, donned in Asgardian armor, wielding Mjolnir. She stood calm, making eye contact with Captain America. Her cloak fluttered and flicked in the cold, wet rain. Her grip tightened on the hilt of Mjolnir, and another crash sounded through the sky. Their eyes both locked, staring, studying. Captain America was the first to speak after a minute of silence, the only sound the bouncing water drips off the paved streets.
“Where is Thor?” He whispered into the chilling air, showing wisps of his breath. The rain kept crashing down. The wetness became more unnerving, the air blowing chilling to the bones.
“Where is he? Where is Thor?” He repeated again, gripping his shield.
“You’re looking at her.” She said sternly, into the cold.
In an instant, they both leaped at each other into the fight. Mjolnir crackled with a blue light, as it pounded into Cap’s shield. Rodgers slid backwards, then flicked the shield, spinning it through the air, but it was knocked down by Thor. She raised the hammer, letting the lightning swirl downwards, then towards her foe. Captain America rolled out of the way, picked up his shield, then stepped onto the destroyed car, and knocked Thor into the ground.
Mjolnir was released from her Asgardian grip, as it lay on the street. Thor pushed herself up into a full-powered kick from Rodgers. She fell back into the ground, as the red blood gushed outwards of her nose. “Want to answer now miss?”
“I’ll say it again-” she spat blood out of her mouth, and stated, “you’re looking at her.”
The thunder up above crashed again, the rain picking up, faster, harder hitting on the ground. Thor’s blood was now dripping, at a faster and constant rate, flowing along with the cracks and nicks of the street. Steve picked Thor up, by the neck, and held her into the air. Her head tilted forward, and she propelled both of her feet square into Cap’s chest, pushing him backwards. Mjolnir returned to her hand, and flowed directly into the shield. The vibrations from the shield cracked the earth beneath them, and was met with three more swift attacks by Thor. Captain America went on the offensive, shield bashing Thor in the chest, then jumped upwards and attempted to hit Thor’s face, but his foot was met with a full swing by Mjolnir, sending his leg flying upwards, and Captain America into the ground.
Rodgers screamed in pain, as his leg bones were shattered by the Asgardian hammer. Thor stood above him, content with her victory. She spat blood onto his shield, and simply said:
“I am Thor, God of Thunder.”
