The computer screen brightened the room, where the screen revealed Jessica Drew, Felicia Hardy, Melissa Gold, Clint Barton, Wanda Maximoff, Bucky Barnes, Tony Stark and T'Challa's faces. A voice broke through the darkness, a tall figure wrapped in a cloak spoke out.
"They call themselves The New Avengers, Spider-Woman, Black Cat, Songbird, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, Iron Man and The Black Panther. They all die." The man said.
"Graviton, why kill them?" Zzzax spoke out.
"That's Boss Graviton, and they need to die before we die!"
"Well, sir. Why?" Half-Life asked.
"Shut it, alien!" Graviton yelled.
"What's our team name?" Andrew Forson asked.
"We are... The Messengers of Death!"
The three all chatted in gratitude about the team name. Though somewhere far south, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jessica rested her tired body in a beach chair.
"Ah, weather, fine. Drink, fine. Life, fine." Jessica mumbled to herself as she mentally checked off a checklist. As Jessica sat back and relaxed, Clint and Melissa sped off into the warm waves.
T'Challa and Bucky chatted about Captain, who's recent demise was heart-breaking. Felicia sat on shore, writing multiple quotes in the sand and watched them be carried off into the water.
Tony and Wanda were in the gift shop, looking at bobble heads and action figures. Wanda grabbed multiple things and rushed off to the cashier. The group never would expect that the new assembled team, The Messengers of Death was approaching them quietly.
The team approached Jessica first, but she reacted quickly and slammed her glass cup of beer on Half-Life's head. Clint and Melissa were far off in the water to see the chaos going on back on the sandy shore.
Felicia noticed Jessica's struggle as Graviton grabbed Jessica's head. Felicia launched herself at the three members as they tried grabbing Jessica.
"Run." Felicia whispered.
Graviton smirked, then slammed his fist into Felicia's throat. She tumbled over Jessica, and they dragged the two bodies through the soft sand.
The waves seemed silent as Melissa and Clint arrived back at shore, Jessica and Felicia were gone. Tony, Bucky, T'Challa, and Wanda were still there, but no one could explain why the two would dare to leave.
Bucky spoke out after minutes of talking.
"I think I know what happened! A few people, Graviton, Zzzax and Andrew Forson were here. They might have taken them." Bucky shouted.
Slowly with a groan, Half-Life got to her feet, being noticed by the remaining members of The New Avengers. She smirked and started running through the sand.
"Get her Wanda!" Tony shouted excitedly. Wanda got up and raced after Half-Life as she trudged her way slowly through the slick sand. Wanda tackled Half-Life to the ground, pulled her by her purple hair and slammed her face into the sand once she reached back to her group.
Half-Life was still dazed from the glass shattered against her face, but each member got a turn slapping her back to reality once her mind went blank. Half-Life wouldn't speak, she would mumble things to herself, but Melissa gave a nice slap to the face that brought her back into the real world.
"Spider Person and Kitten Girl are gone, The Messengers of Death have plans for them." Half-Life collapsed into the sand, her face still wet from the beer that Jessica slammed on to her face.
