Stranger In a Fan Land

March 18, 2013 at 12:40am

I have passed the gates of the dead and walked among the living...

From the ages past to the future be...

I sat before kings and broke bread with beggars..

I raised high swords and kissed the maiden fair..

I hung my head low and cried tears of loss with the victims of war...

I enjoy the sun like any soul would...

I do the things you wish you could...

I plunder the booty fair from the red haird goddess....

I grew old and seemed to live the life of the hermit...

Walking through the pages of the fans and fanatics...

The bringers of the pain and the worlds stored in attics..

I am not the same in every poem or story told..

Sometimes a lover..

Sometimes a fighter...

Sometimes a true warrior born....

Then sometimes on rare times the smell of blood comes and the bezerker rage ....and I am mercy to none........and the storm is unleashed....

Life demands my force...nature greets the stage...Did you create my tale or did I whisper in your ear what to put down?

Did the memory of me...demand to be......

On the way to the world beyond.....I let you dream of me...

Slay the giants.......rage with the storm.....the galactic view...stars being born....

Time maters not one bit....soul forge....broken promises....

Odin leaves...

I Thor explores...

Loki takes the chair...

Nobody cares...

Life and death come and go...

Then the silence of the void you knew...

I walk through the door to death...

I may come again...

Strike while the anvil is hot...

And explode the universe again....

Bang...

That

was.

big.

I get bored with poems like these- I feel like it's a bunch of thoughts strung together, intentionally trying to sound esoteric. That said, this isn't too terrible, but it does need work. Still, I read it. :)
