I woke up in a cold sweat after a nightmare. I went to the restroom and looked at myself.
"Who am I" I whispered then I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door and Jean was standing outside.
"Hey Joe... I was standing out here and well.. are you okay."
I looked at her confused, I knew she hadn't heard what I said. The confused look on my face turn to an almost angry look.
"Where you in my head?" I asked kinda angrily.
"Well.. I am sorry Logan told me to see how you were doing.. dont be mad."
"Whatever... Im fine, just don't do it again" I said closing the door.
I layed back down on my bed for five minutes before standing up and heading out of my room. I walked out to the kitchen and looked in the fridge. There was alot of fruit witch I usually loved but didn't fell like eating. I grabbed a water bottle and sat down at the table. Scott walked into the kitchen with a large brown paper bag.
"Hungry," he said pulling a huge burger out of the bag.
"yeah, starving actually."
He handed me the burger before taking a seat across me.
"Hey.. man sorry about last night, I wouldnt have taken you if I new that was gonna happen."
"Don't worry about it man it was.. interesting" I said with a mouth full of burger.
"Yeah, well there is a plus side i think they let us go because of you." he said before pulling out a burger of his own.
"Hmm.. yeah well that actually worries me though."
"Nah dont let it bother you, hes probably just gonna try to recruit you."
"Recruit me?" I asked taking another big bite.
"Yeah he has this bad team called the brotherhood of evil mutants."
"So you like no him," I asked curiously.
"Hardly, but Magneto and the professor go way back" He answered.
"Magneto.. so what about the other guys that where there."
"I actually haven't seen those guys before."
I started to talk, when Logan and Laura walked int the room. They both sat down and looked at me until Laura said.
"So Joey I heard you almost got killed last night."
"Yeah, three times." I said looking at her.
"Well thats to bad" she said
"Yeah... wait what do you mean?"
She laughed before pulling out a small box of french fries from the bag. I saw that Logan was looking at me, I almost knew he was wondering how I was fine with everything. Which reminded me, what was he hiding from me, I needed some answers and it was about time I got them.
