Psycho’s Judges : Part 6
Doomhound had been upset over being roughed up by Psycho. He entered his room and curled up with his pillow. He drifted off to sleep. In his dream he was walking around the Lexcorp labs. At the end of the hallway was a pod of a large bodied specimen. He was shocked to find inside the pod was the entity known as Doomsday. The giant alien seemed to be in a deep sleep. But then his eyes opened. His deep red blood colored pupil stared right back at Doomhound. The look gave chills down his spine.
Doomsday broke out of the metal straps and grabbed Doomhound. His eyes turned from blood red color to a blinding sky fire. And in a clinched teeth, bone marrow grinding voice of death Doomday tells Luther“ You stole what is mine….. I’m going to RIP YOU APART!”
Doomhound woke up abruptly with a gasp. Much to his surprise there was a hand on his shoulder. “ Hey,hey… it was just a nightmare” it was Harley Quinn sitting at the edge of Doomhounds bed. She rubs his back and give him a big smile “ Settle down it was just a nightmare, you’re fine now”.
“ Psycho hates me, he doesn’t want me on the team” Doomhound said looking at Harley with a scrunched sad face . “ No…. he’s just a bit edgy, you know, he’s new to the whole leadership thing, once he see how much ass you can kick… you be on his good side your see…so turn that frown upside down and let’s play a game” Harley give Sean a playful kiss on his forehead. Sean sits up “ what kinda game?”.
Harley takes cards out of a deck and spreads them out backs facing Sean “ Pick a card! any card!”.
Sean pick one out and looks at it “ it’s a Joker”. “ Aw dang it I forgot to take that one out, ok pick another!”. Sean picks another card “ it’s another Joker….. wait a second are they all Jokers?”.
“ HA Guilty…… “ Harley flicks the deck at Sean “ New game 52 pick up!”. The both of them laugh and Sean begins to picks up the cards. When Sean picks up the last card a green vine wraps around his wrist. Then in the palm of his hand a lotus flower blossoms. He looks up and it Poison Ivy “I see were feeling better?” . Ivy sits next to Sean so he’s being sandwiched between her and Harley. “Yeah a lot better” he says cowering down with a bit of embarrassment. They begin to play Go Fish with a different set of cards. Then they hear a knock at the door. Psycho leans his arm into the door way, he looks at the floor with a bit of shame, shakes his head, then looks at the ceiling, then looks at directly at Luthor with his yellow eyes “ Sean… listen buddy I was wrong , I just kinda snapped you know, that’s the thing about us people of Gotham, you gotta be a little crazy to survive, but I want you to know you have a place here on my team, all of you, we can take this city back”.
“ That means a lot to me “ Sean says with his chin up. Psycho nods and walks down the hall to his room and shuts the door.
Elsewhere at a High class Sushi Bar in Metropolis
Lex Luthor sits at a table with warmonger political figures who are accompanied by Japanese escorts. “ So I tell Superman… “ Are you cranky because I built a deicide bomb or did your underwear suddenly shrink” that pissed him off”. Luthor’s entourage laughed. Then Lex’s cell phone rang, he answers it.
“ Mr.Luthor this is head of security , I’m afraid I have bad news, he got out”
“Who got out?”
“Doomsday”
Lex closed put the phone down and stood up. “ Gentlemen, as much as it pains me, there is something very important that came up, we will finish this another time”. Luthor walks out of the sushi bar and into his limo.
Back in Gotham City, The Sewers
A hobo drinks out of a brown paper bag. A rat comes up to him and squeaks at him. “ Go away you damn pest I ain’t got no cheese, and if I did I’d sure as hell would eat it and leave nothing for you”. A large foot hammers down on the rat. The rat lets out a last squeak before it turns into bloody mooch. The hobo looks at the dark being in pure fear, he know his time is up. Two red eyes lite up the dark sewer “ Doom…..Hound……..”
