Reed Richards stares intently at a large monitor as a man from NASA looks over his shoulder,"It seems to be giving off a type of cosmic radiation we haven't encountered before."
Reed turns to look at the man,"It definitely isn't a comet. For one its moving far too fast, not to mention it seems to have changed directions at will."
The NASA scientist looks stunned,"Its a ship?"
Reed furrows his brow,"No its too small, in fact the only reason your satellites picked it up was the light reflecting off it."
Roof of the Daily Bugle, night
Superman and Spiderman sit on the ledge talking,"A radioactive spider?"
Spiderman replies,"Well it wasn't actually radioactive its just what people say, it was actually more mutated. Any way it bit me and the next thing I know Spider powers. So what's you're deal?"
Superman shakes his head,"You wouldn't believe me, I barely believed it at first."
Spiderman chuckled,"Harder to believe than super powers from a bug bite?"
Superman nodded,"Okay, I was born on a planet called Krypton that was destroyed by a world eating cosmic entity known as Galactus. I was the sole survivor."
"A hole planet full of people like you?" Spiderman interrupted.
"No, I get my powers from Earth's Sun." He answered.
Spiderman stared for a second before asking,"How long have you been on this planet?"
"I was raised here by human foster parents, I knew nothing of my home world until after I started developing my abilities." He finished as he stood up.
Spiderman looked up at him,"What is it?"
Superman shrugs,"Break's over."
He then flew off.
Spiderman shot up,"Wait is that world killer thing still around?!"
Superman was too far away to answer.
Brooklyn Bridge a few seconds later
The U-foes were fighting She-Hulk on the bridge, Superman stopped above her,"Need any help?"
She looked up,"I wouldn't turn you down." Vapor turned into a cloud of Chlorine gas and went in to suffocate them.
Superman inhaled and then blew out a powerful gust of air causing her to dissipate, Ironclad leapt toward him, he easily dodged then caught the metal man by the foot slammed him hard on the ground. Vector attempted to intervene but She-Hulk used his distracted state to attack quickly knocking him unconscious leaving only X-ray. Superman attempted to grab him before he went intangible but was a half second late, luckily as Superman's hand passed through X-ray's energy form his Kryptonian physiology disrupted his energy field.
Ironclad attempted to get back up but Superman planted a foot on his back slamming him back down.
She-Hulk looked around,"That was quick."
Superman looked over,"I think you could've handled these guys alone."
Ironclad grunted,"We had an off day, okay."
She-Hulk put out her hand to shake his,"Jen."
Superman started to reply, "Cl....., Kal-El, or you can call me Superman."
She chuckled,"Cause that isn't conceded at all."
Superman shook his head,"I didn't come up with it."
She looked him over,"I'm sure the S on your chest may have something to do with it."
Superman replied,"It's not actually an S, common misconception."
She steps over to him,"Maybe you could clear it up over diner?"
He smiled,"Sure, I'd....."
He was interrupted by a beeping sound as Jen pulled out her Avengers ID, a voice came from it,"Avengers Assemble."
She sighed,"Rain check?"
He nodded before saying,"Need a lift?"
