Marvel Iron Age: S.H.I.E.L.D
Wide Awake Part. 7
(Rated M for just in case and the nasty fight that takes place.)
Doomstadt,
Night:
Iron Claw charged the mutant, ready to strike. Major Kinney stood her ground and waited for him to swing. Iron Claw swung his spinning claws at Laura'a head, she ducked and rolled behind the assassin, slicing through both achilles tendons. As Iron Claw fell to his knees, Laura slammed her claws through the back of his of his neck and stuck out the front.
Blood poured from the corners of Iron Claw mouth. Laura yanked the blades out of his throat and stomps the back of his head into the ground, Iron Claw struggles to get back up. Laura jumped on his back, madly slashing and stabbing into Iron Claw. Each strike meant not to kill, but to inflict as much pain as she can.
"Enough!" Iron Claw yelled as he jabbed his elbow into Laura's nose. She flew backward and landed hard on her back. With his wounds already starting to heal he got back to his feet and wobbled towards the, Major.
Laura got back to her feet, her broken nose quickly being mended by her healing factor. She charged him again. Iron Claw got ready for the attack and threw a straight, that Laura evaded as she jumped in the air, flipping forward and comming down with another claw jutting out of her boot. Iron Claw took the attack as the blade slashed across his face. Blood covered his face and blinded him for a moment.
Laura went in for another kick and landed it and her foot claw in between the ribs of her enemy. Iron Claw caught the leg and wrapped it around his right forearm and slammed his left elbow into the joint of her leg. The leg snapped as it bent out of place. With his right arm holding Laura's broken leg and his left hand gripped tight around her throat, Iron Claw tossed her through the windshield and out the other side of an abandoned hover car.
Iron Claw leapt over the car and landed on top of Major Kinney, with his knees digging into her ribs. Luara raised a a fist, only to have it caught by Iron Claw. With the blades comming out of his hands spinning he cleaved off the arm, and tossed it aside. Blood spurted from the nub of Laura's right arm, her face twisting into a pained grimace.

Night away from the fight:
Kylie Martell and John Somerset had a fight of their own to contend with. They were teleported away from their leader by a member of the Reavers. He wore all black with the exception of a red hovercycle jacket. His hair was slicked back and he carried two claymore's in both hands. Around him were a dozen of soldiers from the Wide Awake project. These soldiers had blades where their arms should have been, but they still had the same melted on looking armor and gray dead skin the others had.
Kylie charged in and engaged the enemy in fierce hand to hand. "John stop shooting those toy rail guns and help!" She demanded as she tore off the blade arm of an attacker and shoved it back into it's face.
John hung around in the back taking shots at the ones, Kylie neglected to her back. "The proper term is mass accelerater." He corrected.
Kylie jumped over a pair of soldiers and ducked under them, "Who cares?" she said as she grabbed their blade-arms and joined them together. She rolled from them and hopped to her feet and ran back to, John. A group of these soldiers rushed them. Kylie smiled and pointed at the two she fought with earlier and watched them explode in a brilliant display of light. Leaving nothing but a thick red mist where the soldiers once stood.
"You are such a show off." John said, pointing his pistols at the man holding the swords. "Why do you think he hasn't fought us yet? I mean we just starking owned his troops,"
Kylie marched forward, with no care for the situation. "Once again, who cares?"
Doomstadt:
Laura picked up her legs and wrapped them around, Iron Claw's neck and with all the strength she could put out she flung the man off and quickly picked up her arm. Iron Claw was back on his feet and walked toward her. Looking to a nearby building she ran for it, reattaching her arm back on to the nub.
Iron Claw chased her to the building, "Running wont help you!" He said, anger taking over. The enemy running was how he lost Danvers during the raid on the Triskelion. He would not lose this target. He followed her into the building. From what Iron Claw guessed it used to be an apartment building.
The elevator was down so Iron Claw chased her up the stairs. The building was choked with smoke and small fires ragged all over the building. He followed her to the twentieth floor, an opening where a bomb must have went off brought in a slight breeze and cleared the air. Iron Claw turned around and the faced forward. The floor boards creaked with each step, and the sound of running feet grew closer.
Laura lunged at Iron Claw from behind and faster than she could react, Iron Claw spun around and stuck his blades into her chest, the blades sticking out the other side. Iron Claw stuck her to the wall. Laura struggled with no effect other than quickening the bleeding. "In the name of the Supreme Commander," He readied his other hand, the blades spinning and ready to cut into the, Major. "I exact his vengence upon you traitor!"
Iron Claw slowly brought the spinning blade down to the left side of Laura's face. Peeling away skin as blood splattered everywhere. She continued to struggle, Iron Claw felt a sharp pain in his chest as he continued cutting. Laura let out an agonized scream as she raised her fist and launched it into Iron Claws left eye. Iron Claw recoiled and released the mutant.
Laura limped over to the blown out opening in the building. She covered her chest, but blood only seeped through her fingers, and blood covered her face. Iron Claw ignored the wound and continued after her, feeling he had won he left himself open. "You should have died a long time ago, X-23. With the rest of your X-men. But the Supreme Commander gave you a gift of mercy." His face twisted into an angry scowl, showing his pointed teeth. "And you've wasted it!"
Laura had her back to the opening and awaited her attacker. The look on her face was not one of pain or anger, "Die!" Iron Claw yelled, bolting at her. Laura feined out of the way and responded by kicking Iron Claw in the back. Knocking him off the ledge through the opening.
Falling, Iron Claw looked down at his chest. He thought that the mutant had only stabbed him with her claws. She hadn't, instead a small device lay in his center and flashed red. He caught a glimpse of, Major Laura Kinney before he hit the ground. She stood at the ledge her arm outstreched and holding a small device in her hand. She was smiling.
Elsewhere:
An explosion rocked the sky as Kylie Martell and John Somerset battled the Reaver. With his blades he hurled crimson bands of energy at the pair. Kylie did the best she could, doging them expertly. "Your ass is mine!" She grunted as she pointed her left palm at the man in red, as the ground underneath him exploded.
The man in red reappeared next to her and swung his blade down, taking Kylie's arm clean off and smacking her aside with the flat end of his other blade. A gun blast ripped through the air and hit the man in the knee cap. He feel to one knee and two more shots were fired into his wrists. "Thanks, Kylie you showed me something about this guy." John said, standing over the Reaver with a gun over his head.
"What would that be?" Kylie grunted picking herself off the floor and reattaching her arm.
"He can't attack and teleport at the same time." John squeezed the trigger but the man had dissolved into nothing. John sighed and holstered his guns. He turned to Kylie. She was unharmed. "Do you think that explosion awhile back was, Iron Claw?"

Iron Army Helicarrier:
The sun had began to rise over New Latveria when General Falcon Helfitta and his Iron soldiers flew into formation over the cities sky. Regiments of Iron soldiers flew in not to take the city, but to save it. He watched in the carriers CIC, standing in front of a window. The enemy was already ready slowly creeping towards his fleet.
The carriers' scientists are calling the pillar in the center of the city a "space elevator" and a small ground force would attack it while, Falcon battled it out in the sky. The general reached into the pocket of his uniform and pulled out a picture of his wife. Who was taken from him so long ago. He took a moment to remember her. "Alright," He placed the picture back in his pocket and gave out his orders. "All forces get ready to strike at the enemy. Lets tear these things apart!"
