All the kids sat in the room. One table stood in the center, surrounded by four chairs. Robbie and Billy sat across from each other, and Laura sat, hunched over, with her back to them. Mettle leaned against a corner, and Michael stood in another one, while Finesse paced back and fourth across the room. Finally, Mettle broke the silence. "So nobody's going to talk?" "Nobody here knows each other!" Laura snapped. "Well," Mettle replied calmly, "I just think this would be a great opportunity to start." "Michael and Finesse agreed, and started to talk.
Meanwhile:
Justice and Goliath stood behind the one way mirror, monitoring the conversation. "I'm impressed." Goliath remarked. "Why is that?" "They were able to make it five minutes without snapping at each other.
Later:
"--and that's all you need to know about me." Finesse said. "Oh. My. GOD please stop talking!" Laura shouted. "Hey no need to be rude, we're just trying to be social here. Get to know each o--" "Easy!" Michael remarked. "We're all here for the same reason. We all want to be heroes."
"HEROES!?" Laura shouted, pointing at Robbie "THE KID WHO BLOWS UP HIS SCHOOL WANTS TO BE A HERO?" She remarked quietly "And please get rid of those little ball things floating around." "HEY!" Billy shouted. "It's not his fault. He--" "That's okay, I can speak for myself." Robbie said. "I can't control how my powers come about." Robbie leaned forward in his chair "And wasn't it on the news you killed your brother?" He whispered into Laura's ear.
"GGGRAAAAGH!" Laura popped out her claws!
Meanwhile:
Justice and Goliath ran towards the door. "Oh ****, oh ****, oh ***, oh ***"
Meanwhile:
Laura jumped through the air and suddenly stopped in her tracks, her claws a centimeter from Robbie's face. She was surrounded by purple energy.
"ENOUGH!" Justice shouted. Containing Laura. He then dropped her. "You all recieved direction to your designated rooms....I advise you go there." He looked up at the students with a stern looks on his face. "Tomorrow you will get you codenames and gear.....
