ALICIA LUCAS:
Carl, there’s an old friend of yours on the phone. He says he has important news and must talk to you immediately!
CARL:
I’m on may way.
Carl comes to the phone
CARL:
Hello
MICHAEL SOOTH (unseen):
Hello Carl
CARL:
Michael? Why are you calling? We haven’t spoken in almost 40 years.
MICHAEL:
I just wanted to let you know that Alex died.
CARL:
Wow. Only three Heroes for Hires members left. Thanks for calling me.
He hangs up, thinking back to when he first joined the Heroes for Hire.
One week later...
ALICIA:
Carl, you have another call from Michael.
Carl takes the phone from Alicia
CARL:
What is it Michael? You were the one that made Heroes for Hire disband.
MICHAEL:
John died.
CARL:
That’s two deaths over a two week period. I think someone is killing our old team.
MICHAEL:
If that’s true, I think we should warn the only other remaining member, Becky Waller.
CARL:
I’ll meet you in Philadelphia.
One day later...
Carl and Michael are walking to Becky’s house.
CARL:
I hope we get to Becky in time.
MICHAEL:
I do too.
They get up to her house, to find it in ruins.
MICHAEL:
Oh my God! I hope Becky wasn’t home.
They walk into the ruins, to find half of Becky’s body melted.
MICHAEL:
We’re to late.
CARL:
Wait, I’ve seen this kind of acid. It’s from...
But before he can finish his sentence, Chemistro bursts out of nowhere.
CHEMISTRO:
You saved me the trouble of having to track you down. Now, I can kill you both!
Chemistro fires acid on Michael, killing him. But, before he can kill Carl, Carl is taken into a car, which speeds faster than any car can. Inside, is is encountered by a man.
CARL:
Thank you for saving me. Who are you?
MAN:
My name doesn’t matter. What matters is you getting your revenge on Chemistro. I would like you to join Operation: Power Man.
