Marvel Genesis: Luke Cage #10
INT. McDonald’s.
Luke Cage is mopping the floor.
MANAGER:
Let’s go Luke! I want that floor so clean I can see my face!
LUKE:
Yes sir.
Then, a man comes in. He begins to order.
MAN:
Yes, I would like a quarter pounder with cheese, hold the cheese. Also, a Diet Coke, and a side order of French fries.
The man turns around and sees Luke Cage.
MAN:
Hey, you’re on out ten most wanted list!
Cage drops the mop and begins to run. The man pulls out a walkie talkie.
MAN:
This is Agent Dilifer, all H.A.M.M.E.R. agents respond. I have a positive I.D. on Carl Lucas.
Suddenly, a helicopter comes out and starts shooting at him.
LUKE (thoughts):
Are they insane? There are several innocents here.
Cage starts to run, with H.A.M.M.E.R. Agents chasing him.
H.A.M.M.E.R. AGENT:
Carl Lucas, you are to be taken into custody. We have an atomic bomb, and will set it off if you do not come with us.
Cage refuses to surrender himself, so the bomb is set off. Cage tears through them all, and disarms the bomb*.
A H.A.M.M.E.R. Agent pulls out a walkie talkie.
H.A.M.M.E.R. AGENT:
Sir, we’re down. We have to call in our emergency plan.
MAN ON OTHER END OF WALKIE TALKIE:
Do what ever you have to do to take him into custody.
H.A.M.M.E.R. AGENT:
Lincoln, we need you.
Cage begins to run. He walks around a corner only to be punched and knocked off his feet. He looks up to see a big, white man.
LUKE:
Who the heck are you?
WHITE MAN:
You can call me... Tombstone.

*Cage learned about atomic bombs during the Vietnam War when he was in Heroes for Hire. He used one in Marvel Genesis: Luke Cage #3.
