Marvel Genesis: Cable- Introduction

Synopsis: In the year 4000, people have suffered destruction under the tyrannical rule of a long-lived mutant named Apocalypse. He sends out his agents to destroy or capture those whoever dares to destroy Apocalypse himself. But one man is about to take that challenge and save man and mutant kind from destruction. He’s a tough soldier and a mutant who will not give up, until he stops Apocalypse once and for all. His name is Christopher Summers, also known as…Cable.

Characters

Christopher Summers/Dayspring aka Cable

As a young kid, Chris was recruited into a military school where he had to undergo harsh training. He also underwent the training sessions of a Psi-Ops program, including with his twin brother, Nathan Summers/Dayspring. He’s a mutant who has various telekinetic and telepathic powers, which he uses less often in the war. After the training and along with Nathan, Chris joins the Askani Order to stop Apocalypse from ruling the entire Earth. Due to the effects of the Techno-Organic Virus, Cable can’t seem to recall his past and wonder who did infect him in the first place. After Nathan betrays the Askani Order, Cable teams up with a human partner named Aliya Jenskot.

Rachel Summers aka Mother Askani

Rachel is the leader of the Askani Order and the Askani. She saw the potential within Christopher Dayspring and decides to recruit him into the ranks of the Askani Order. Rachel is also a mutant, who possesses telekinetic and telepathic powers.

Slym and Redd Dayspring

Slym and Redd Dayspring are the foster parents of Christopher and Nathan. They took care of Christopher and Nathan as young babies after retiring from the Askani Order.

Madame Sanctity

A mysterious precognitive mutant, who predicted Cable as a true saviour of both man and mutant kind.

Blaquesmith

A hunchback-like mutant and a mentor of Cable. He acts as Cable’s backup for various tough missions and helped him to control his mutant powers during the Psi-Ops program.

Aliya Jenskot

Aliya is Cable's human partner, who became part of the Askani Order. She also went some harsh training as a young kid.

Irene Merryweather

Irene is a 20th-century journalist, who discovered an old journal, written by a mysterious time traveller.

En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse

En Sabah Nur is an immortal mutant and a once Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Born in the 13th-century, he was seen as an outcast in the Egyptian society and kingdom. However, he gains control through various means and ruled Egypt with an iron fist. Years later, he travels to different locations, searching for potential mutants with great strength and courage. He also rules a far future in the 41st-century.

Ozymandias

A mutant who pledged his royal highness to Apocalypse during his Pharaoh years. He has the power to animate stones at a molecular level. His body was also made up of stone, which gives him super strength, durability, and longevity.

Dr. Nathaniel Essex aka Sinister

A once-human scientist, who used to work for Project X where he experimented on humans and mutants. In the 19th-century, he discovered an old diary of another geneticist named Romulus and conducted experiments on humans and himself. In the 41st-century, he now works with Apocalypse to create ultimate super-beings by using his advanced genetic knowledge.

Nathan Summers/Dayspring aka Stryfe

A clone of Cable, who used to be a member of the Askani Order until he joins with Apocalypse and leads the Agents of Apocalypse. He also possessed similar telekinetic and telepathic abilities as Christopher. Unlike Christopher, Nathan is not infected with the Techno-Organic Virus.

Lucas Bishop

A former mutant police officer of the Mutant Security Enforcers (M.S.E.) unit, went rogue after he learns of a strange temporal anomaly affecting his timeline (the mid-21st century). He goes to great lengths in releasing a dangerous mutant criminal named Trevor Shaw to go back in time and fix the change. He has the ability to absorb various kinds of energy, which redirected towards him and unleashes energy blasts.

Trevor Shaw aka Chronomancer

A criminal and a former M.S.E. officer, who was captured by the M.S.E. after murdering thousands of people in the mid-21st century. His power is to absorb energy from any being and use that energy to create a time portal to different eras. According to his criminal files, he was turned out to be the great-grandson of a rich and powerful mutant named Sebastian Shaw.

Concepts

Psi-Ops Program

The Psi-Ops program has been created by the Askani Order to create psychic soldiers. Christopher and Nathan were selected into the program after displaying their latent mutant powers at the age of puberty. The program is also used to enhance humans and augment them with psychic abilities.

Techno-Organic Virus

A Techno-Organic Virus is a virus, which can turn human flesh into living metal parts. Cable was infected with the virus for unknown reasons and later turned out to display some positive upgrades throughout his body. The virus also prevented him from recalling his true past.

Romulus Formula

A drug which was been developed by the great geneticist on the planet, the legendary Romulus himself. This drug can be used to enhance mutant powers and unlocks certain mutant genes, which haven’t been activated yet. For example, Victor and Logan's healing factor never got activated during puberty until Romulus gives them the formula. However, Project X convinces the two feral mutants that their healing factor was just artificial.

Sinister Effect

The opposite creation of the Romulus Formula. Dr. Nathaniel Essex devised a way to enhance the Romulus Formula into his new creation, dubbed the "Sinister Effect." Dr. Essex used this formula on himself and later transformed into a super-being known as Sinister.

Horseman Project

By using Apocalypse’s DNA, Sinister hopes to re-create four unstoppable beings of destruction. The previous horsemen have been killed by X-Men in the past.

Ship

A Celestial starship, which crash-landed millennia ago on Earth. It was first discovered by Romulus and then later used by Apocalypse for technological means.

Teams

Askani

The Askani are the members of the human, mutant, and alien race who joined together to fight against Apocalypse and plans to end his tyrannical rule. They have created and trained the best rebel fighters from different parts of the world.

Chosen Ones

The Chosen Ones are a group of humans, mutants, and aliens, whom they get selected by the Askani Order to destroy Apocalypse. Cable and Jenskot are part of the Chosen Ones.

Agents of Apocalypse

The agents who are devoted to work with Apocalypse and follow his strict orders, including Stryfe. These agents are comprised of altered humans, mutants, and aliens.

Askani Order

The Askani Order is a worldwide organization that oversees the Earth’s potential future and hoping to destroy Apocalypse by sending their best and brightest soldiers of war.
