I need a power for my new story, a power that i dont see too often but i dont know what to pick, can you guys help me pick one of these?
Alchemy isn't really a power, but a skill. It's basically chemistry but it functions magically. Certainly not really useful in a fight unless your character is all about preparation.
Transumutation on the other hand, where a person has the power to change one substance to another through magic, matter manipulation, or some other process would be quite handy in many situations.
Temporal displacement is often used as a form of intangibility, but you could take it a different direction and have the person's actions occur some amount of time before people see him or her do it.
Base your character first. It's not really a good idea to think of a gimmick first, before you have a character. Think of who your character is, what their goals are, motivations, aspiration, etc, then the powers usually come by themselves, something that fits them.
i always thought a hero with powers that slow down moving objects, not stop them, just slow them,so its gives more to there other actions when the objects slows, thinking a way to help or win the day.a non "super super" hero with a limited amout of power.
Alchemy appears to be a protoscience that has been widely debunked but it would be an interesting angle if you can develop circumstances under which alchemy enjoys an extreme revival in the hands of your character(s). Something like alchemy nouveau on steroids. Perhaps your character can transmute himself into metals or can animate the inanimate or you get the idea. Try to keep it unique and surprisingly separate from typical magic-wielders and you may create something hot and fascinating. Good luck! =)
