I am stuck with my creativity

So i decide to create a DC character for fun.

His codename: Rouxinol (Nightgale) The Sonic Birdman.

He is a neutral fighter and mercenary fightining and former sidekick of Black Canary and Wildcat and active patner.

Aside his Rouxinol Cry (Similiar to Canary Cry) he has wing tatoo when it is actived becomes real wings (feathers and bones) but if it damage cannot be ativated and it would need to repair with ink again.

But i am stuck and know how he should activate, should be from control like part os his body and his brain is able to control it, should be like by saying with word alike Shazam or by willpower ?

So what you guys think?

Yeah that was my original ideia but kind falls to comicbook logic or lack of it.

@vitalius: That's cool. I like the idea of it being voice activated, provided the word is catchy..

Yeah but i have decide. It be controlled by his brain that way would make sense in both Pre and New 52 without changing a lot plus if put a vocal command, he would too weak against if he got silence in terms of powerset.
