Earth-Charnel, The Funeral of Eddie Brock

The world of Earth-9939 was a wasteland, a rancid speck of filth in the universe, but amongst the death, the horror, the despair, some live as defenders of the last remnants of mankind, truly ready to put the lives they were lucky to hang onto on the front lines of a dead world. they are the Avengers, and today they are paying the last respects to a fallen comrade, Eddie Brock, better known to the world as Venom. Things had become differant since the events of Charnel's attack on life between the two, after Mary, May, Anne, and Beck were slaughtered in the raids commited by Charnel's spawn, Eddie and Peter had developed a bond, the pair had grown as close as brothers, to what was left of mankind they were known as the webbed wonders, a pair known to save the last known remnants of mankind. But today Eddie was just another fallen friend, Logan stood a few steps behind Peter and said quietly, grimly, "He died fighting for what he believed in" Peter began to violently shake as he responded "You have no idea what Eddie believed in!" Peter was stricken by loss, his wife, the woman who had been like a mother, and the man who of late had become a brother, this was a day of sorrow for him, Logan, Frank, Matt, Stephen, and Steve all tried to relate, but in truth they never related to Venom, even Frank the Punisher detested Venom's tactics, Was Peter truely sad about Venom dying or another part of his past fading into the dust of the wasteland? Peter walked away from the funeral, possibly out of the thought of what would happen next, Stephen Strange read the final rights of the symbiote psycho. Peter stepped from the shadows wearing a new version of the black costume, the Avengers of Earth-9939 dared not speak a word, Peter stepped toward the grave of Eddie and the unknown symbiote and froze.

"Funny it took the world ending for us to become brothers Eddie."

Peter looked to Scarlet Witch and then to his feet.

"Send him to the sun Wanda, we dont want Charnel to get a chance to bond with the remnants of the symbiote."

Wanda Maximoff sent the remains of Eddie Brock quietly into the fiery aura of the sun, Peter Parker stood cold and silent, and when Wanda informed him the body of Venom no longer existed, peter removed his original mask, and in it's place put on a black mask.

"Charnel will not survive Eddie,.... Rest in peace cfriend, there is a new Venom in town."
