Here's a little exercise i do to start the creative juice flow before i tackle a big project (I'm going to adjust it for a comic book themed challenge). Pick any random word from any source, i.e. page of a book, text message, wherever you can find a word, and create a hero or villain based on the feelings you get from that single word. Create an environment from that same word and place your character within it.
With your character and surroundings in place, create a 1-2 page short story that also reflects the feel of your selected word.
I try to give myself a 2 day deadline but for this challenge i'll set a four day deadline from the date of your responses.
The word i found is, lord.
