Character Creation Contest #44 "Death To Santa!"

I won the previous contest, so my prize is creating the new one. And since it's the Xmas time with hollyness and jollyness I thought the best way to celebrate this festive time was by putting a hit out on Santa Claus.

That's right I want the fat man dead!

Your mission is the following:

* Kill Santa. And none of this dream sequence $#!T kill him proper!

* Create an original freestanding character(s) who pulls the trigger or cuts his head off or poison's him; how you choose to dispatch Santa is up to you but it must be an original freestanding which means they're not from a previous fan fic you wrote, or linked into a fan fic universe you're writing, this person (or persons) is totally new. New, original, freestanding, string free, fresh and other buzz words

* Get in done in 12 days, like the 12 days of Christmas.

Today is the 16th of December here in Australia and since it's my contest it's done in my timezone...for those who wish to glimpse the future use this clock http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/australia/sydney and it will tell you time and date. So by 11.59pm on the 28th of December you have to kill Santa!

Yes it's the "holidays" so it means you have time off...you'll have to come up with a better excuse on why you can't enter.

So, make your list. Check it twice.

What's the difference between this and RPG? This is just one-shot stories, right?

@lichter: It's also a perfect place for new characters. The last one started me on an offical orginization and lord garian.

As an RPG veteran, I can tell you this is basically the same concept, only, like, lonelier.

This is just you. No crossover/interaction with other writers, just your story about killing Santa (see conditions above) and that's it really. And this is a contest. That's the main differences.

That simple. After the contest if you wish to use Derrick The Cyborg assassin dog in RPG go for it, but if Derrick The Cyborg assassin dog is already established you need a new guy/girl who is new, unattached to any other projects or universes.

@lichter: And yeah FF writers should play on the RPG board and vice versa...my main issue with RPG is that you seemingly need alt accounts and there's SO much going on all the time that getting into it isn't easy at all. I have tried in the past...I shall try again

@batkevin74: Alts aren't a necessity per se. They're just nice for having multiple characters. People like @dreadpool10 use both. @maverick_6 has most on a single account.

It might seem tough to get into, but past canon doesn't matter a lot in smaller stories (particularly those that take place outside of teh United States). Everyone's willing to help with any questions and the rules are really easy to understand when it comes to combat. You should give it another shot!

That's it! You want to write it from Santa's perspective, fine! You want to write it from the killer's angle, fine. The only rules you have to follow are listed above.

@batkevin74: I mean, is judgement based on the quality of the character, or the narrative itself?

This sounds pretty cool. Do you write the story and then post in this specific forum?

@lichter: Oh at the end whoever wrote a story reads all the entries and votes and we also try to get others to read and vote. Voting is usually based on which story the reader liked best. Spelling and formatting do count a bit here in FF land, coz if it looks messy then people tend to glaze over it even if it's the best story in the world. A little time editing can make a BIG difference.
