Bio: Cormac was born on the Union planet of Durrit, founded primarily by settlers from Ireland. His father died early in his life and he was raised by his mother and the farm hands who became family to him. His mother attempted to remarry, but when he proved to be an abusive stepfather to Cormac, she decided that it was useless to try and she took on the task of raising him herself. Cormac was a troubled boy, always picking fights with the other children, but when asked why he started the fight, he always proved that he had been legitimately provoked. As he reached high school, he took up boxing and started running errands for the local gangs. Of course, he only did it to make enough money for him and his mother to stay afloat. He never told her where the money was coming from. When he reached the proper age, he was drafted into the United Planetary Marine Corps and shipped off to basic training. Right out of the gate, he proved his worth as a soldier during an attack by the Coalition. He was quickly promoted to Sergeant and cemented himself as a great asset to the Union in the battle of Akropolis. With all his superior officers dead, he was left to lead the charge in defending a Union world from overwhelming Coalition forces. He lead his troops to victory and became a poster boy for the Union overnight. He denied promotion in order to stay alongside his friends, especially Warren and Robin. During an ambush, Cormac was hit in the chest by a sticky grenade. His fate seemed sealed until Warren sacrificed himself by taking the bomb in his hand. Warren was saved, but barely. His body was absolutely destroyed and they were only able to keep him on life support for a limited time. The doctors said that the life of a private wasn't worth how much it would cost to repair him, so they were ordered to let him die. Cormac was left to ponder what they were fighting for, what they were dying for, what his best friend was now doomed to die for. At long last, he knew what had to be done. Along with Robin, he took Warren and stole a ship and escaped into Coalition territory where they were able to get Warren the necessary help and save his life. Cormac is now the captain of the Morrigan, a ship that deals in smuggling and other underground trade. He resents profiting on crime, but he knows that it is necessary to protect his crew. His heart is heavy from the obligations of a captain, and he is filled with the remorse of a soldier who abandoned his post.
