Batman stood viewing on the dark silhouette on the buildings top. He certainly had a similarity to him: it could be seen even on such a distance. Now Bruce had to figure out a way how to use it against that enemy. A few more seconds passed as they observed each other. This began resembling a duel on the Wild West.
Batman Beyond acted first. In a split-second he threw a number of projectiles in his opponent and dived down straightening his scarlet wings. As Bruce dodged the thrown batarangs Terry gained immense speed and faster that both could react hit in Batman entraining him with himself and breaking through the buildings wall. Grappled and continuing delivering punches in mid-air “son and father” wrecked a few more obstacles before finally landed hard on the floor. Wayne rose to his feet first. He shot a rappel cable in purpose to tie up Terry, but the last made a hand stance and gracefully landed on his feet, dodging the attack.
“He’s fast… It’l be hard to land a hit on him. – Bruce reasoned until suddenly got a lucky idea – Unless…”
Batman threw something from his belt in his targets face, leaving it temporarily blind as smoke spread all around the place. Now. A number of devastating strikes to the head and corpse was unleashed, while Mcginnis wasn’t able to hit the Bat. All of a sudden, he disappeared causing Bruce to hit empty space. Wayne wasn’t surprised - he knew that victory woudn’t be easy.
“Invisibility…” was the only thought that had time to appear in his mind as he spotted an explosive batarang targeted to his head. Acting on pure instinct, he rose his hands protecting his face. As the projectile exploded, it threw Bruce back, he crushed the glass behind and engaged in a free fall of the buildings top. Terry, frightened that he may kill his opponent, disabled his camouflage and immediately followed him. He jumped into the formed foramen and stoop down but didn’t spot anyone when suddenly, something hit him in the head making him loose orientation. It was The Bat. As Terry’s fall became uncontrollable, Bruce shot his rappel once again, ultimately stopping him, and wrapping him up.
“Who the hell would are you? And how…”
“Looks like I haven’t got enough training, huh?” Terry smiled.
