The Gender of God
The-Spirit has revealed herself to us as being female in gender (not sex). This is seen in her appearance as a mother bird brooding over an egg. Male birds of various species are known to display aspects of the female gender when they too brood over eggs. The-Man, who is The-Manifestation of The-Spirit, has been revealed to us as a male. In the male is the genetic information required to produce both male and female offspring. There is of course potential within God for both genders.
The Mayans
Ometeotl, god of the near and close, he who is at the centre or within the ring, he to whom we owe the existence of life, self-inventing, self-creating, lord of all heaven and earth and even of the land of the dead. The duality of this god/goddess was a duality in quality. It stood for the negative and positive, male and female principles in the universe, light and shadow, yes and no. It was not a duality arising from polytheism. The concept was monotheistic.119
Egyptian
Atum, king of gods, son of Nun and self-created god who brought light to the primeval universe was a bisexual being. The name for Atum when being described as bisexual was Iusau.120
Fon of Abomey
Nana Buluku the creator gave birth to Mawu the supreme god. Mawu is sometimes called male and sometimes female. Mawu is a twin being. Mawu is the female and Lisa is the male. They became the parents of all the gods. 121
The world was created by one god, who is at the same time both male and female. This creator is neither Mawu nor Liza, but is named Nana-Buluku. In time Nana-Buluku gave birth to twins who were named Mawu and Liza, and to whom dominion over the realm thus created was ceded. 122
Pueblo Zuni Indians
Awonawilona (The All-Container) constituted both genders. He split into two separate sexes ApoyanTachi our Father Sky and AwitelinTsta our Earth Mother.123
Awonawilona the one who contains everything created life within himself; the mists of increasing and the streams of growing flowed from him. He assumed a form and was the maker of light, the sun. When the sun appeared the mists gathered together and fell as water becoming the sea on which the world floats. From within himself Awonawilonaformed seed and impregnated the waters. Then in the warmth of the sun green scum formed over the great waters and became solid and strong. It was divided and became Earth Mother and Sky Father.124
Ancient Greek Orphics
In the beginning “Time” created the silver egg of the cosmos out of this egg burst Phanes-Dionysus. He was the first god to appear, the firstborn, and he became known as Protogonos. He bore within himself all the seeds of all gods and men. He was the creator of heaven and earth, of the sun, the stars. And the dwelling of the gods. Phanes first created Nyx; the night.125
Oh mighty first-begotten, hear my prayer. Two fold egg born and wandering through the air.126
Nyx was born from Phanes’ and was his consort. Phanes was her Mother and Father given his dual sexual nature. Everything on earth and in the heavens resulted from their union.127
The Ute Indians
In the beginning Manitou, or Great He-She Spirit, lived alone in the sky.128

The-Woman before creation
Even before Chaos was given form she was female in gender.
The following Vedic hymn at first glance seems to make no sense. But when we read it in the light of our story so far, it makes perfect sense.
Hinduism.
From The Man Viraj (the active female creative principle and material nature) was born (to become his
mate). And from Viraj came The Man. When he was born he ranged beyond the earth behind and before.130
From The-Man who died, Chaos (a feminine force by nature) was born (to become his
mate). And from Chaos came The-Man. When he was born he was One with The-Spirit.

Here we see the waters of Chaos and the newly created bodily soul of The-Woman (Feathered Serpent)
Quiché Mayans
In the beginning there were only the creators, Tepeu and the Feathered Serpent, Gucumatz, in the void and the waters. Now it still ripples, now it still murmurs, ripples, it still sighs, still hums, and it is empty under the sky. Here follow the first words, the first eloquence: There is not yet one person, one animal, bird, fish, crab, tree, rock, hollow, canyon, meadow, forest. Only the sky alone is there; the face of the earth is not clear. Only the sea alone is pooled under all the sky. . . .Whatever there is that might be is simply not there: only the pooled water, only the calm sea, only it alone is pooled. Whatever might be is simply not there: only murmurs, ripples, in the dark, in the night. Only the Maker, Modeler alone, Sovereign Plumed Serpent, the Bearers, Begetters are in the water, a glittering light. They are there, they are enclosed in quetzal feathers, in blue-green. . . .And then came his word, he came here to the Sovereign Plumed Serpent, here in the blackness, in the early dawn. He spoke with the Sovereign Plumed Serpent, and they talked, then they thought…131

And creation was complete.
Ebla, North Syria
Lord of heaven and earth: the earth was not, you created it, the light of day was not, you created it, the morning light you had not [yet] made exist. There was no heaven, Great One formed it. There was no earth, Great One formed it. There was no sun, Great One formed it. There was no moon, Great One formed it.134
