An idea for my first attempt at one of these.

I've been thinking of writing a fan-fic, my first. it would be set in altered version of marvel earth, not that different from the main 616 continuity but enough to give me a nice amount of freedom. The story would be centered around James Rhodes, in his late fifties, donning the War Machine armor for the first time since Tony Stark's death ten years ago. It'll have some redemption, some revenge, a couple of big fights, and a whole lot of shell casings.
 
Thoughts? Suggestions? Would this be something you'd actually want to read? Am i wasting my time?

Write it and don't give a darn what we think, that's what I say! It sounds cool though!
