Toad vs Gollum

Toad vs Gollum.

This is good old classic, fat, original Masters of Evil-era Toad, when he had a normal tongue.

Gollum does not have the Ring.  He is at the height of his strength and energy.

Toad believes that Gollum is going to take his place in the Masters of Evil.  Gollum believes Toad has the Ring.  Which is to say, both are highly motivated.
 
The battle takes place on a rocky mountainside, starting 20' away.

Round 1: No weapons.
Round 2: Gollum has Sting.
 

Who wins and why?

if toad has the ring gollum jumps on toad and chews through his neck , this is the pitiful "yes master" toad we are talking about

Toad obviously is way more agile, but as SoA said, classic Toad is a loser, even when motivated.  While Gollum spent over 500 years throttling well-armed orcs for food.  He's unusually strong, fairly but not superhumanly agile, and if he gets a grip on your neck he's not letting go.  And with a magic sword? I don't think it's a stomp.

I'm honestly not sure. Since I can't come to a serious decision I'll say Gollum because "Smeeeeeagooool...? Whyyy does it cryyyy, Smeeeeagol...?"

I'm not sure if people are overestimating Toad or underestimating Gollum.

Anybody who thinks either character is going to win, PLEASE SAY WHY! Especially if you think Toad is going to beat Gollum when he has Sting, because I don't see that as being a particularly easy thing to do.

Just to be clear, we're talking about the old fat version of Toad who was a sniveling weenie, whose only power was jumping, and who was not exactly famed for his fighting skills.

Personally, I think Toad could take 6 out of 10 of the first round, due to his agility, but Gollum takes a bigger majority of the second round due to the sword, which would be pretty hard for Toad to defend against. Gollum is also far more cunning and a more able combatant in general.

I hear he's one bad dude. That even the trolls know not to mess with him. He's crazy, and who'd want to fight someone like that?
