Maris Brood Runs the Gauntlet

Maris Brood

• Maris is equipped with a pair of red guard shotos.
• She has found balance in the Dark Side. Her morals won't falter here.
• In character (insane, tainted by the dark side)
• For the purposes of this battle, we are pretending (pretending, guys, pretending) that TFU was canon. This is after she fled Felucia and went on to some other adventures, possibly.
• Maris is fully rested and healed in between each battle. However, her experience increases naturally after each duel, making her more able to use her abilities in a serious battle situation.

The Gauntlet

Round 1:

Komari Vosa

• Komari gets two red lightsabers.
• Komari is in character.
• Maris gets one day to prepare and gets to ambush.
• Battle takes place on Nar Shaddaa.

Round 2:

Nightsister Mighella

• Mighella gets her lightsaber-resistant sword.
• Mighella is in character.
• Random encounter.
• Takes place on Felucia.

Round 3:

Aurra Sing

• Aurra gets a sniper rifle, a blaster, and one red lightsaber.
• Aurra is in character.
• Both Aurra and Maris get six hours prep.
• Takes place on Tattooine

Round 4:

Oppo Rancisis

• Oppo gets one green lightsaber.
• Oppo is in character.
• Oppo gets one day prep. Maris gets four hours.
• Takes place in the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk.

Round 5:

Adi Gallia

• Adi gets one blue lightsaber.
• Adi is in character.
• Maris gets six hours prep.
• Battle takes place on Dagobah.

Round 6:

Visas Marr

• Visas gets a red double-bladed lightsaber.
• Visas is in character (Dark Side). She is the servant of Darth Nihilus, and has never met the Exile.
• Both get one day prep.
• Takes place on Shili.

Round 7:

Savage Oppress

• Savage gets a red double-bladed lightsaber.
• Savage is in character.
• Maris gets one day prep.
• Battle takes place on Felucia.

Been awhile since I've read TFU, but wasn't Maris beating Galen until he switched into a lightsaber form she was unfamiliar with? If so she should stop at Savage.

She was....I recall something like that, seeing a quote on here..

Then she should stop at Savage then.

Pretty good. Given her skill and force ability prowess, I see her stopping at Opress.

I think she could a few wins in on him though. What's her best speed showings @joygirl?

@whirlwind_33: In the game, from Galen's standpoint, she would use Force Cloak and move and it looked like she was teleporting.

@joygirl: Damn! That's pretty nice. I still think Opress would take a majority, 7-8/10 since he has the offensive force edge ( he's tossed armies of 50 with the Force) and the saber skill edge (he "beat" Plo Koon in a saber duel).

@whirlwind_33: Yeah I wasn't expecting her to get past him, but I wanted to have a decent capstone at the end of the gauntlet. *nodnod*

I've only seen her a few times and she seems pretty powerful for her tier of Sith. TFU was a pain in the ass for me to beat though. :(

I wonder if they will explore her character in the New "Rebels" cartoon since TFU got retconned

@whirlwind_33: Seems unlikely. Star Wars as a whole seems to be totally ignoring her, I'm the only person who pays her any mind. :P I even did a fan-fic for a while but it's moving slow since there's so little interest in it.

When you finish, I would really like to see it.

That and you could make a Respect thread for her.

I did one for Kit Fisto since everybody seemed to think he was garbage from what they saw in the films.

I guess it doesn't matter since we already came to a conclusion. Maris clears up until Savage.

@whirlwind_33: Yeah everyone pretty much seems to agree. Makes me wonder if I could get away with making another gauntlet of a very slightly higher tier -- though I don't think I'm knowledgeable enough to make it work, I needed help from @i_like_swords on this one as is.

@joygirl: True. Maybe next time you could do a team up of her and a another Female Sith like Ventress or something. I could help you if you need and you can't get ILS

Aurra Sing with prep is no pushover. If she gets past her, then she can make it to savage.
