Poll Batman vs Unicron (148 votes)

Batman 29%
Unicron 70%

Unicron is the 1986 Animated film version, not the multiversal nonsense retconned into Transformers canon.

Batman is comics version.

Scenario:

Unicron is coming to Earth tear up its continents, which can potentially cause billions of death. Batman is the only one who can stop this because Unicron has imprisoned Superman in a red sun radiation prison inside of Unicron himself, and the rest are elsewhere fighting an intergalactic threat.

Batman however has notice of Unicron's impending arrival 1 year in advance, and he already has access to all resources and advanced technology in the Justice League watchtower besides his own regular equipment.

P.S: Batman can ask for help from Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and Red Robin (Tim Drake).

Question: Can Batman defeat or force away Unicron?

The following is a screen shot of 1986 movie Unicron, who is a robot near planet-sized. He can also transform into a planet with claws (See the horns on his head):

Additional Notes:

Both combatants are in-character.

Optimus Prime and the Leadership of Matrix are located in another galaxy where he and the Autobots are fighting a giant skunk. However, Batman heard of the Leadership of Matrix.

Added additional rules for clarity: Both combatants are in-character while the Matrix of Leadership is difficult to obtain.

The technology of Unicron is so absurdly beyond Batman this fight is ridiculous.

Oh never mind you added Nightwing and Red Robin. Lol like that's gonna help.

Batman with a one year of prep and the advanced technology from the Justice League tower would win.

Batman has access to Justice League advanced technology.

The TFTM 1986 Unicron can be damaged: Grimlock and the Dinobots tried attacking his posterior and caused some outward damage but were forced away. The Quintessons' spaceship stabbed Unicron in the eye.

@wenjunchew: Batman has spaceships? What exactly is in the watch tower. Nothing Batman could build himself could be of any use in this fight. He would have to rely on something in there. Have a lot of luck with a dab of PIS.

Batman could build a weapon powerful enough to penetrate Unicron's hide.

Think about it. If its plausible for Batman to devise a weapon that can wipe out Transformers in one hit, given that Transformers are capable of inflicting damage on Unicron (Albeit akin to a mosquito bite), then this weapon can inflict damage on Unicron as well.

What Batman could do is to use Justice League resources to amplify the damage output of the weapon and turned it on Unicron. Batman can deliver this amplified weapon's output via Wonder Woman's invisible ship (retrofitting with space travel) so that Unicron won't be able to catch and crush his attacker.

Actually he could. He just need to figure out how to create a weapon so destructive it can penetrate Unicron's hide and beyond.

Justice League headquarters possess technology that have no problem replicating such.

Prove it - prove it with Batman's feats & abilities with what he's created in the past.

Don't create a thread, then keep saying that Batman will win over and over.

Don't tell me that Bruce would be able to create a device without any actual proof of him doing such against a similar foe.

Batman could win, based off the fact that you said that Superman is imprisoned within Unicron.
Couldn't he just find a way to infiltrate Unicron and release Superman? Haha

Superman = At least a continent buster at his maximum. Metallo poses a challenge to Superman despite Superman not holding back against a robot. And guess what from above? Batman builds a suit that can simulate Superman.

The destructive power from the destruction of a continent is more than enough to significantly damage half of TFTM Unicron's body - Given how a ship managed to penetrate its eye and how the mere building busters like Dinobots were able to deal damage to its thick hide.

And not to forget his amazo-like Insider suit. Together with speed-force and some retro-fitted space travel equipment he can potentially bore a hole into Unicron and rescue Superman.

Nothing can really kill Unicron. He is evil incarnate. Unless Batman is willing to kill every evil being in existence, he's not going to get rid of Unicron. No Matrix of Leadership=Unicron stomp

This is movie Unicron. He's merely a planet-sized robot.

This is no stomp. Unicron is much smaller than Planet Earth, about the size of the moon.

@wenjunchew: The Insider Suit vs Unicron is Laughable. Even if it didn't have a craptastic battery...the Insider suit only simulates very low level versions of the JL's Powers.

What is a year prep against a being millions of years old and infinitely more powerful and intelligent than you.

The moon on Cybertron was destroyed by Unicron effortlessly and they had weapons and defense systems millions of years more advanced than us. They also knew of Unicron yet their prep meant nothing. To think Batman in one year can improve his own technology centuries is absurd.

Batman has taken out Amazo with his own regular equipment. Amazo has the durability of a Transformer. Imagine if Batman uses more advanced equipment, like that Superman simulator suit!

Cybertron moon in the original TF series didn't have weapon systems IIRC otherwise Unicron would have turned away for easier prey - Don't remember any planets firing at Unicron. Besides, Transformers technology in the original series stagnated for millions of years. The technology that Batman relies on is actually comparable - Teletraan I is estimated to have the same level of computing prowess as the Batcomputer.

That was a typing mistake. I meant Superman is a continent buster at minimum estimates of his high-end power.

Would you rather I say Superman is a mere city buster?

Teletraan I in the cartoon as far as I remember, their most advanced feat involves calculating the odds and determining which Transformer is the most suitable for tackling a particular space alien, in which it prints out Omega Supreme as the only one capable. The Batcomputer can do all that.

Yes, Batman has taken out 4 white martians, each as powerful as Superman. If he can figure out their weakness and exploit it, I don't see why he can't do the same for Unicron. Note that TFTM Unicron is merely herald-level in comparison.

@wenjunchew: I'd like to question one of your statements here:

Batman has taken out Amazo with his own regular equipment. Amazo has the durability of a Transformer. Imagine if Batman uses more advanced equipment, like that Superman simulator suit!

You're talking about the time that Batman + Nightwing went up against the much weaker and less versatile version of Amazo that was actually a prototype.

Even the guy that posted these scans didn't think that they should have stood a chance in the first place:

This Amazo was NOT packing the durability you're talking about.

Spying technology is not very relevant if he's 1 year away from making a move on Earth. Movie Unicron could at best re-generate new Transformer armies from his own matter, but it is still not relevant either.

More interested in the durability feats. Unicron got mosquito-bites on his posterior courtesy of Grimlock and the Dinobots! Unicron's one eye was put out by a spaceship! A country-sized explosion would have definitely dealt him significant damage.

@thetruebarryallen: Actually, I was saying that Amazo has the durability of a normal Transformer, not Unicron. However, given that a regular Transformer is able to deal damage (albeit insignificant) to Unicron.... and that Superman is capable of soloing all Transformers by himself pretty casually.... If Batman is able to simulate Superman's powers (Which I demonstrated via his feat of taking out Amazo), he could actually make quite a dent on Unicron.

@mtuske: That moon self-destruct was PIS. The Movie Unicron has repeatedly shown to be defending himself against the united Autobot-Decepticon attacks on him. Yes they dealt insignificant damage individually, but if he had to defend himself that way, it says a bit about the risk of accumulated damage.

Normal Amazo may have that sort of durability - but Batman didn't fight the actual 'Amazo'.

He fought a much weaker and less versatile prototype that also had far less experience.

Your scans of Batman in a Superman suit did not show him taking out Amazo - he took out Metallo, and he didn't actually display that he could simulate the exact strength of Superman. Plus one of the reasons that Metallo is such a challenging foe for Superman is that he's powered by Superman's weakness - a weakness that Batman didn't have in that suit.

To maintain consistency, the more common feats are considered normal while the rest are outlier. Besides, the Cybertron Moon self-destruct wasn't going to damage Unicron much - The explosives were actually targeting the moon but the flying debris are the only ones that actually damaged Unicron, if they did at all.

@wenjunchew: That's when you have a large sample size. When you have one movie it's not PIS. It would only make sense that a moon sized planet eating millions of year old sentient super killing machine would be unfazed by a nuke. It's not even close to PIS.

Then it means the attacks by Ramjet and the other Decepticons are close to nuke level? Unlikely.
