Awesome Art Picks: Storm, Spider-Gwen, Princess Leia, and More

Each week we search for the coolest comic book art that you won't see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their blogs, Tumblrs, and websites. Some artists even pre-arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out.

For some reason I forgot to post this sketch cover Todd Nauck posted on his Tumblr and sold on eBay. He also posted a Princess Leia sketch cover and more Post-It Notes sketches.

I wish more of these great artists would make some Mortal Kombat fan art. I mean we get one every once in a while, and it's almost always great. But, I dunno, with MKX on the horizon my excitement level is really high for it. I guess I just hope that others are as excited for the game as I am.

Still, this was a really great week. And I really appreciate @g_man for collecting them all for the site to see. :)

Wow I thought I would never say this but Power Girl looks a little flat.

Thor Vs Black Adam is this weeks highlight.

Henderson's Storm looks amazing. The lightning in the background was a nice touch as it really sets the portrait off. I'm also loving the Thor vs Black Adam.

Yea, that BA/Thor is pretty awesome. Although looking at it again Thor looks like he's a good two feet taller than Black Adam considering he's coming from behind him. To me the perspective is off.

There's a lot of great stuff here. I love the Todd Nauck stuff and the Philip Tan Thor vs Black Adam is awesome.

Thor vs. Black Adam \ Buffy vs. Vampirella. I would buy those issues in a heartbeat.
