My absolute favorite story and favorite character. Weapon X! This story and character have a lot of meaning for me. So I'm kinda sad that iIt's been ruined by the First Class movies and to a certain extent put aside by the Origin stories. Which personally Marvel should of never revealed Wolverine's origin story but what ya gonna do. Lemme know what ya think.
Arinya's Pencil Drawings
@rulerofthisuniverse , @iceprince_x: thanks you guys! I'd like to ink this in but I suck at inking. Needs more contrast that is just not coming through in the pencils.
@arinya: Incredible work.
@wolverine08: Coming from Wolverine himself that's high praise! =P
@hislolita: Thanks!
By they way. I'm going to change the title of this thread so I'm not making one after another. I'm going to try to draw a full pencil drawing every weekend. See how that works. Did one last weekend I'd like to share tonight when I get home. Thanks again for your guys comments but don't hold back with any of your critiques.
@rulerofthisuniverse: Agreed. I have to give some more love to my backgrounds. It looks really stale.
@arinya: Wow even the hands (every artists worst nightmare) are perfect
@tparks: Woah thanks! Yeah...their noses haunt me...=(
@daseancomerwcr: Actually I love drawing hands! But I agree than can be pretty tough.
@arinya: Wow even the hands (every artists worst nightmare) are perfect
Speaking strictly as an artist, hands are the absolute WORST.

This is fantastic! How long did it take to finish?
@maddpanda531: I started on it one weekend. Working on it for a abit here and there. Then finally finished it on Monday night. So really just a few of hours if I add them all up.
@feebadger: Thanks! I got one I can hopefully work on this weekend and will share next week. Stay tuned!
Daredevil!
So I wanted to do a very detailed background and Daredevil. I was going to do gargoyles and the city in the background but as I was looking at images of cathedrals and listening to videos on YouTube about Daredevil I had this image in my head of him falling backwards into darkness. But Matt is smiling as he sinks into the darkness to save us all. Hope the symbolism comes through.
@arinya: Very impressive. How long does it take to draw these?
That Daredevil piece is spectacular. The background has greatly improved since your last drawing and the anatomy is spot-on. Very professional.
@scorpion2501: Thanks! I start on Saturday and work on it here and there through out the day or in this case days. If I had to add all the time it up probably took about 4 hours.
@rulerofthisuniverse: Thanks! I had to pick stone as my background, which I've never done, so I had a hard time with it. I'm not totally happy with it. I feel like I could of included more architectural elements of a cathedral. Just felt like I was taking so long and rushed myself.
@arinya: You got any tips for a beginner? Or any tutorials in particular that helped you?
@scorpion2501: I've been drawing since I was a toddler. So practice, practice, practice! I emulated alot of my favorite artists in the beginning. If you have a favorite artist just redraw something of theirs stuff and really pay attention to their style. It will really help inform you about lighting and anatomy from a pro. I don't know what kind of artist you are. Do you want advice on? Penciling, inking, digital, lighting, coloring, anatomy? As for artist please go follow Paolo Rivera. He truly is a master. He is constantly sharing his methods that I do myself and some that I've learned from him that really help alot!
@bumpyboo: Thanks! I'm still doing my daily sketch but I'm not posting them. Didn't want to take over the forum with abunch of different posts.
@arinya: Thanks, I'll follow him. I don't own a tablet, so I don't need any digital help. I have most problems with human anatomy and shading.
@scorpion2501: Anatomy can be tricky but there are several options. Get a small mannequin you can pose them as you like and get a good sense of anatomy. Better yet get some books or Imagine FX just recently printed some awesome series on Drawing and Painting Anatomy it's a crash course on it but I found it very useful. The issue talks about principles of anatomy that help explain how the body works. Not only that but they touch on lighting and even apply those principles to subjects that are not human. Great issues. Worth the money. You can order it or buy it in digital form. They are up to volume 2.
@arinya: Wow, thanks mate!
You are so incredibly talented! Wow.
This...
@shatterstar: Better than a storyboard panel. Those are usually pretty rough.
Wow! Everything looks cohesive and has a very strong sense of anatomy and perspective!
Gotta love Quicksilver more but Daredevil is a fine art illustration piece!
@shatterstar: Thanks!
@rulerofthisuniverse: I knew what you meant.
@iceprince_x: Yeah I put some love into the Daredevil drawing but looking at it now I think I still could of gone more gothic with the panel in the background. Thinking about adding some guilded details.
@arinya: Well done bravo
@iceprince_x: thanks!
@SuperStar_sketcher: LOL! This is so boss level stuff!
