This is my absolute guide to DBZ warriors feats.
This analysis is based only on feats, no powerscaling, no iffy and long stupid calculations, no assumptions, no fillers, no non canon. This analysis is based on direct feat conclusions and feats comparisons.
I won’t be using powerscaling because it’s useless for people who demand direct feats and refuse to use any kind of powerscaling.
Calculations are really inaccurate and involve a lot of speculations, and can lead to real strange results since there is no canon quantifications specially after Frieza saga. Also, even if we know that an increase in Ki does increase all aspects (durability, strength, speed, power…) but there is no evidence and no clue to be sure that the increase between those aspects is linear, meaning that for example if a person had PL 500 then he increases it to PL 1000, it means he became 2 times more powerful, but it doesn’t mean he became 2 times faster.
Power :
Power is the amount of energy that DBZ warriors can manipulate and use as beams, energy balls,…etc. the energy that DBZ manipulate is called Ki or Chi, and it’s a spiritual energy or inner energy that can enhance physical abilities (speed, strength, durability, strike force,…), telepathic abilities(telekinesis, mind reading, mind communication, astral projection…), and spiritual abilities, to surpass their natural limits.
Notes :
- · DBZ special techniques (Kamehameha, , Makansappo, kienzan…) can concentrate more energy than what DBZ uses normally, thus their purpose is to increase power output more than normal energy balls, in other words, they are kind of Ki multipliers.
feat 1 :
Feat : “Freeza is massively beyond 350 planets buster”
Freeza did destroy planet Vegeta. This planet have 10 times at least the gravity of earth, according to physics it can't have earth size, because that means it have density largely higher than uranium, which is impossible. The minimum acceptable diameter for this planet in physics, is around 7 times earth diameter. That means, based on gravitational binding energy lower limit, that the minimum energy to destroy the planet is around 7.879E+36 Joul, which is 351 times the energy required to destroy earth.
In other words, Freeza at his weakest state can obliterate 351 planets similar to earth with one shot. With the huge difference in power between his first state and last state I let you imagine how much power output he could have.
Common fans mistake : “this is inconsistent, because in his most powerful form couldn’t destroy planet Namek” wrong, because it’s stated clearly in manga that he held back too much, the reason would be because he didn’t want to lose some of his strength because of the explosion.
feat 2 :
Feat : “Goku is massively beyond 350 Planets buster”
Freeza who’s massively more powerful than 351 planets buster, had his energy output surpassed by Goku’s energy output, which makes Goku’s energy output beyond what can Freeza destroy.
feat 3 :
Feat : “Cell and Gohan have enough power to bust the solar system”
Cell said he has enough power to blow away entire solar system. The unimaginable amount of power difference between him and Freeza who’s massively beyond 351 planets buster (around 28900 times Frieza's 1st form power if solar system bust is right) , gives the idea that what he said is possible and logical, but Cell’s words coming only from the manga wouldn’t be enough proof, since it can be hyperbole. But Cell’s solar system buster has been confirmed by DBZ guide book.
Guide book states: "An aura with sparks like flashes of lightning and an upright, combative hairstyle are the distinguishing features of this, the strongest Saiyan warrior! One's personality also becomes aggressive; even the ordinarily gentle Gohan started to enjoy battle! Its power is enough to push back even Cell's energy bullet, which had enough force to blow away the Solar System!"
It’s not possible to have the same information as hyperbole in 2 different canon sources. Moreover no feat in what so ever canon release deny this information, so it’s wise to take it as true since it’s coming from different canon sources.
(just between, if we consider PLs here, that means, for Cell to destroy at least the sun, he needs to be around 128 times more powerful than Frieza final form, you're free to take this or leave it if you believe in PLs or not)
feat 4 :

Feat : “Bills is said to be beyond solar system buster”
Weiss who knows Bills better than anyone, tells that Bills can blow away the solar system in an instant, that means it’s an easy feat to realize for him. These words can’t be taken as hyperbole since nothing in the context of the story or in Weiss character tells that it can be a lie.
Durability :
Durability represents the physical resistance that warriors use to block attacks with their own bodies.
Notes :
- · In DBZ universe, durability doesn’t only depend on natural physical abilities, it also depends on Ki amount, which can increase its owner’s durability. And that’s basically how DBZ warriors block attacks, using enhanced durability by Ki concentration.
- · Using Ki, DBZ warriors can increase not just their body durability, but also durability of their weapons, tools and even clothes. This principle is widely used in different mangas. For instance for ones who know HxH manga, Hisoka can make simple cards a deadly cutting weapons using his inner energy…etc.
- · Explosions size doesn’t represent their real potential, since this is a fact used widely in manga, and comics across the world.( I can provide you more than 10 scenes of different comics where there is small explosions but their real powers exceed the imagination)
Feats :
feat 1 :
Feat : “DBZ warriors have moon busting durability since early DBZ”
Raditz could easily catch Goku’s Kamehameha, which is more powerful than moon busting Roshi’s Kamehamaha.
Common fans mistake : “this is a small explosion, how can it be moon busting ++, it makes no sense”
Well this is manga and comics, it’s fiction, not reality, of course it makes no sense. But comic writers had used the idea of Concentrated explosions since the comics started, for the sake of the story they minimize the damage on the battle area, without minimizing explosion power, and we have sooooooo many similar scenes, the most known and intriguing is Classic MoleculeMan shooting Beyonder with power enough to destroy billions dimensions and the room where the attack happened didn’t even shake.
feat 2 :
Feat : “Nappa has beyond moon busting durability”
Piccolo who became more powerful than before when he busted easily the moon, couldn’t harm Nappa, except by surprise and only scratch him. Another moon buster, Roshi, said he can’t do anything against him but pray.
feat 3 :
Feat :“Freiza has basically beyond planet busting durability”
In this scan Freiza admits a planet explosion can make him lose some of his strength, and later on we’ve seen Freiza at the verge of death could still survive planet explosion. Freiza has confirmed to have beyond planet busting durability.
feat 4 :
Feat : “Goku has massively beyond planet busting durability”
Freiza who had planet busting durability was cut like butter by Trunks, but Goku could block with only 1 finger the same striking attacks if not stronger. That’s irrefutable proof that Goku has massively beyond planet busting durability.
feat 5 :
Feat : “Gohan’s durability is massively beyond any planet busting++ hits”
Goku who has massively beyond planet busting durability was hit badly and injured by Cell’s hits, those hits couldn’t even scratch Gohan’s face. That proves that Gohan’s durability can resist incredible powerful hits massively beyond planet busting level.
Strike force :
Strike force represents the amount of damage power caused by direct physical hits.
Notes :
- · DBZ warriors enhance their hit power to beyond physical limits using Ki concentration
- · Weight lifting level doesn’t affect at all the power of the strike. A hit normally depends on velocity, mass, and in our case it depends also on Ki.
Feats :
feat 1 :
Feat : “Gohan at very young age had strike power beyond moon busting level”
As proven, Raditz has more than moon busting durability, he tanked Goku’s Kamehameha which is more powerful than Roshi’s moon busting Kamehameha. But Raditz was badly hurt by Gohan’s head hit and even became weak because of that. That’s a proof that Gohan hit with power more than moon busting level.
feat 2 :
Feat : “SSJ1 Goku’s hits are beyond planet busting level”
Freeza who has beyond planet busting durability was hit by Goku by several ways (back head hit, kick, punch…) and Freeza was hurt badly and was bleeding from those hits. For someone who was at the verge of Death with low Ki and can survive planet explosion, get hit and bleed badly from Goku’s hits, that’s a concrete proof of Goku’s massively beyond planet busting level hits.
feat 3 :
Feat : “Gohan’s hits are massively beyond any planet busting durability”
Cell’s children has proven to be more powerful than all SSJ1s, Vegeta’s hits, which are more powerful than Goku’s hit’s against Freeza, did little to no harm to Cell’s children. They are massively more durable than Freeza, more powerful, and have Freeza’s cells. Their durability exceeds planet busting level by far, but Gohan shopped their bodies to pieces with one hit. (just between, if World Breaker Hulk, who died from planet explosion, faced SSJ2 Gohan, he would be shattered to million pieces by one hit)
feat 4 :
Feat : “Buu with Gotenks power, had punches with enough power to pit a 2 sides hole in the planet”
Buu could with one punch throw the energy ball so hard to pit a hole in the planet like if it was butter.
feat 5 :

Feat : “Bills strike power can evaporate planets”
Bills, with his body as projectile, did destroy 7 planets like they were nothing, and if it wasn’t Weiss who stopped him he would have destroyed also the planet Tree, home of the two gods.
Speed :
The speed we’re going to discuss is combat speed, which is represented by reflex movements. We’re not gonna talk about travel speed because it’s meaningless in fights.
Notes :
- · combat speed is a speed that is produced in short distances. It can’t be produced in long distances, otherwise it will be no more combat speed but travel speed.
- · Traverse Times are irrelevant in the Dragonball World and only used to further the plot: as stated by Akria Toriyama, discussed in the Daizenshuu, and Common Sense.
Feats :
feat 1 :
The feat : “Kid Goku is faster than AK-47 bullets”, because Roshi can see those bullets but can’t see Goku here.
Common fans mistake : “Goku is faster than light because there is no reflection of him” and that’s wrong because Goku is only invisible here to normal people and guys with super sigth like Roshi, and sight speed is of course massively less than lightspeed.
feat 2 :
Feat : “kid Goku is faster than bullets”, it’s very clear in the scan.
Common fans mistake : “this feat means nothing because streetlevelers do the same” and that’s wrong, because what streetlevelers do is called AIM DODGE. What we have here is a concrete bullet dodge speed. Goku started noticing the bullet after it came out, and we can see that he was looking to the bullets while dodging them, this means he dodged them when actually seeing them coming at him.
feat 3 :
Feat : “Goku at young age was faster than energy beams ” a clear feat, where Goku is upside down and the energy beam is already fired in his direction.
Common fans mistake :
- “not impressive, some streetlevels dodge lasers too” well no, streetlevelers do AIM DODGE not real dodge, they didn’t face lasers rushing straight at them while they didn’t made a move yet. Normally, they start dodging before the laser come out of the cannon, sometimes because of their experience in fight they read opponent’s movement before the movement is completed, and sometimes because of special powers like spider senses.
- “Goku at young age is faster than light since he dodged laser” it’s true that this feat is not aim dodging but real dodging, but we have no clue that the energy beam is laser. Personally I think this is an energy beam, which is very fast tough, but we don’t know how fast it is compared to lightspeed. And the fact that the beam explode when it reaches its target shows that this is not a laser behavior.
feat 4 :
Feat : “kid Goku had very close lightspeed reflex”
I tried to find any weakness where I could refute this feat, but I wasn’t successful. This is a clear obvious feat that proves Goku had almost lightspeed reflex, because Tien’s technique is based on light, and for Goku to achieve this feat he needed to reach Roshi before the light reaches him, or at least when the light just started reaching his eyes, once he puts the sunglasses it doesn’t matter anymore if light reach his eyes, he can come back to his starting position with less speed since Solar Flare technique’s light needs a lot of time to fade and also because Tien took lot of time (in lightSpeed perspective) to attack Goku, in this process, the commentator said an entire sentence before Tien reached Goku. We can assume that the distance between Goku and Roshi is less than the distance between Tien and Roshi, hence Goku didn’t reach completely the speed of light, but was close.
If we analyze this feat, we see that Goku had opportunity to steal sunglasses only before the light reach him, because if he tried to do it after light reached him and before Tien attack him, he won’t be able to find his way with all the blinding light around.
feat 5 :
Feat : “All DBZ warriors have, at the beginning of DBZ, energy beams faster than light”
Roshi was able to destroy the moon with his Kamehameha in a very short time. The worst estimation I would say the moon was seen destroyed after is 10 seconds, that means Kamehameha took at most around 5 seconds to reach the moon and that’s about 3.8 times the speed of light. In the other hand, we can see that Piccolo destroyed the moon in less time, almost immediately, I would estimate it at worst cases around 2 seconds, that means his beam reached the moon in about 1 second and that’s almost 30% faster than the speed of light at worst cases.
feat 6 :
Feat : “all DBZ warriors have FTL reflexes and combat speed”
Proven that energy beams at the beginning of DBZ were faster than light, later in DBZ they surely became MFTL.
Raditz who was one of the slowest warriors in DBZ, could dodge Goku’s Kamehameha and Piccolo’s cannon beam that’s a proof of his FTL reflexes.
Gohan and Krilin were faster than their own beams, that’s also a proof that they are FTL.
Later, SSJ2 Gohan had perfected Kamehameha when Cell’s beam was only meters away from him, that’s a proof that DBZ warriors can achieve powerful counter-attacks MFTL.
Common fans mistake : “Kamehameha need a lot of time to be charged, as do the other attacks” wrong, it’s refuted just above in Gohan’s feat against Cell. DBZ warriors can achieve destructive attacks with MFTL speed, it only seems slower because of relative perspective of speed, or in some cases the attacker is not in a rush to achieve his attack.
feat 7 :
Feat : “DBZ warriors have MFTL energy beams”
If we look closely to those scans, we see that Goku made instant transmission while the energy beam went about 10 000 Km, that means the energy beam went almost 10 000 Km instantaneously, meaning 10 000 km in 1 Plank Time (for guys who don’t know physics, Plank Time is the smallest time unit ever, it’s the time where the smallest event in physics can happen, and it’s about 5 e-44 second), that means Cell’s Kamehameha had speed of almost 6x10^44 times the speed of light, and that’s really hilarious. No one can accept such huge number. I think that seeing the panel of space before the panel of Goku teleporting behind Cell doesn’t mean, that the two scenes happened one after another in time. I think that the author just wanted to show that the energy beam went out, in space, and thus earth is no more in danger to get blown up, then he came back to the mean event which is Goku teleporting behind Cell, and that’s because the mean event before those 2 scans was that Cell terrorized earth safety by destroying it by Kamehameha, anyone curious, can come back to the chapter and read the scans before those 2 to understand the situation. Now that we can say that the 2 scenes didn’t happen sequentially, how would we know when did the Kamehameha reach such distance in space? Well it’s clear that it will reach such distance and keep going until Cell decide to stop firing it, and that’s when he realized that Goku was behind him. That means the beam reached at least 10 000 km when Cell made the reflex of realizing Goku is behind him. So the question is how much is Cell’s reflex here?
To clarify this, let’s come back to Roshi/Krilin feat of speed in early DB. They ran, had o couple kicks and punches, had a little chit chat, had some time to think, played Rock/Paper/Scissors, had another kick, and a thrown in air, and all of this in only 1 SECOND. So, knowing that a normal human reflex can reach 0.3 second, how much would you estimate Roshi/Krilin reflex? Let’s be bad and biased, let’s be evil and hater, how much would we estimate it? 0.001 second? Let’s take it as 0.01 second only. Now how much would you estimate Cell’s reflex? 100 times faster than Roshi? 50 times? Let’s be biased and mean, and estimated only 10 times faster than Roshi, meaning it’s about 0.001 second.
We see that Cell’s Kamehameha went about 10 000 Km in space before Cell’s reflexion of realizing Goku was behind him, that means Kamehameha went about 10 000 Km in 0.001 second, in other words, Cell’s Kamehameha is at least 33 times faster than light.
So even without this small comparison in reflex speeds, we can say that Cell’s Kamehameha is FTL.
feat 8 :
Feat : "Goku can instant transmit in fights"
Goku has a specila technique called Instant Transmission, which allow him to teleport instantly to any place near the person he wants, all what he needs to do is to detect Ki of that person if he's far from sight and teleport to him. this is how Instant Transmission work, as explained in manga. Goku can use Instant Transmission Offensively, as opposed to solely defensive or counter attacks. He can even use it to perfom energy attacks such as the Kamehameha.
Common fans mistake : "Goku needs to concentrate a lot to make instant transmission it's useless in fights"
i really don't need to answer that, the scans are above, they talk for themselves. saying that Goku loses concentration under pressure and can't perform Instant transmission because that's what happen in Buu scene, is essencially wrong. Because the most massive key during that scene was a ki ball coming at Goku that blows up the planet and the insanely powerful pink monster who threw it! All other kis were masked by that enormous amount of power, his concentration had nothing to do with it, lets not forget how Instant Transmission work, for Goku to teleport to far places from his sight he needs to sense Ki in the target place, which couldn't happen in the scene of Buu. It does not get much closer or "under pressure" than what we have in the scans above, The beam was right in his face as he flipped. Being a trained warrior allowed him to Instant Transmission and counter.
