Williams III is Back
This series has been one of the big surprises for me in the New 52, when I started it having not read the Batwoman issues of Detective Comics (which I have since) I wasn't to sure what to expect. The only thing I did expect was great art from J.H. Williams III and I am glad he is back on pencils once more after his break to just write.
We see Batwoman continue searching for the missing children, this issue taking her in a house of mirrors with Abbott (a werebeast) accompanying her. Here she finds Bloody Mary (a creature of myth) who tells them Medusa is behind this. Batwoman realises she needs the help of Wonder Woman (who we see in snip-its through the issue fighting Medusa's minions) as she is the best person to tackle Greek mythology. Elsewhere we see Maggie and Kate's relationship tested, and Flamebird who is with Uncle Jack tries to get back in the game.
Final verdict. This is an amazing starter to the new story and with JHWIII back on pencils it couldn't be better. I like how before Batwoman and Wonder Woman meet he draws them with such different borders and atmospheres it feels like they are from completely different comics. This is a great jumping on point and I would highly recommend this series as it's one of the better Bat series in the New 52.
