After Guardians of the Galaxy dominated the box office this past summer, everyone pretty much knew it was worthy of a sequel, which is great because a sequel was already given the go-ahead. During the phase three announcements from Marvel today, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was given a release date: May 5, 2017.
The team of space-heroes really won over people's hearts, even though one of the members of the team, voiced by Vin Diesel, could only say "I am Groot." It will most likely be the same team, but maybe we'll see some additions to the roster, like Carol Danvers, since there is going to be a Captain Marvel film as well?
