The critically-acclaimed adventures of Aquaman continue with “DEATH OF A KING.” Unfolding out of the events of “THRONE OF ATLANTIS” comes a mystery that sends Aquaman to the ends of the Earth to solve an ancient murder—one that will reveal a horrific truth about Arthur Curry and threaten those closest to him today. Plus, Mera has a quest of her own involving a long-forgotten adversary of Aquaman.

Death of a King Chapter 1 of 7

In Antarctic, the Dead King arises, and meanwhile Aquaman, along with Murk and some other Atlantis soldiers go about retrieving lost/stolen Atlantis weapons from surface dwellers. When Aquaman returns to Atlantis he has a talk with Tula about her brother fate. He then talks to Vulko who tells him that The Scavenger is behind the missing Atlantis weapons.

Unknown to Aquaman, Tula and Murk are planning on rescuing Orm from the surface world prison, The Scavenger is planning on attack an Atlantis convoy, and Mera has been arrested by the Amnesty Bay Police. Mera attempts to escape but Officer Watkins talks her into staying, but then Mera and the police are attacked by The Dead King.
