Even if you don't think you'll like it...

You should be reading Zorro. I'm not sure what element it is that makes this book so damn good but everyone should be reading this series. Dynamite has found the right formula of writer, artists and legends to create a wonderful world of the Zorro's origin. I've never seen a Zorro movie nor read a past comic. This is my first taste of the masked crusader and I find it to be hypnotically good. The back stories within each issue provide new depths to the characters. Each one is full more tragedy overcome with heroic splendor.

Zorro is a foundation character. By that I mean that many other heroes have been based on him and simply molded to fit other cultures or time continuities. If you love cheering for Robin Hood or sit on the edge of your seat waiting for Batman to drop into a dark alley, you can thank those that have given the world the legends of Zorro.

The young boys, Diego and Bernardo are now in Spain for proper protection and training. One boy is still mute from the trauma of seeing his family attacked and finds a new clan among the gypsies; the other has to bear the burden of proving himself to world's best fencing master.
