Flash First confrontation: Unknown Zoom was born Hunter Zolomon, who had a tragic early life. Orphaned, he eventually became a profiler for the FBI. This made him a target for the evil Gorilla Grodd, who snapped his back. He tried to use the Cosmic Treadmill to go back in time and change his history for the better-but it exploded and gave him amazing speed equal to Flash. He decided that he needed to show Flash tragedy like he had known-so he decided to become his greatest enemy. He killed Flash's wife and kids and is increasingly insane. He never joined the Rogues-he is just singularly devoted to showing Flash tragedy and killing him. Eventually, he was tossed into the timestream, but he survived and now continues his evil quest. |

Gorilla Grodd First confrontation: Unknown Gorilla Grodd seriously injured Hunter Zoloman up to the point that he was paralyzed from the waist down. This would lead to him becoming Zoom when he involved himself in an accident while trying to use the Cosmic Treadmill that gave him his powers. |

Jay Garrick First confrontation: Unknown The Original Super-Speedster, Jay Garrick is the first to use the name Flash. Jay Garrick's legend inspired Barry Allen, and his heroism continues to inspire today as a stalwart member of the JSA. |

Linda Park West First confrontation: Unknown Zoom kidnapped Linda West in an attempt to teach Wally West pain so he could be a better hero. This led to Linda having a miscarriage. |
