The council convened for the first time to discuss how to deal with the threat of the the Celestials. Since then the Council has met on several occassions over the ensuing years, but only when a threat is of the gravest danger. Once, during ancient times, Odin called upon Zeus to invade Olympia when he thought the Eternals a threat to his plans. Zeus did as Odin asked, showing the level of their friendship and alliance. Later, when odin fell in battle against the Celestials, Zeus gave Thor a portion of his godly power to aid in Odin's ressurection. Another time, when Odin was thought slain, Zeus, in memory of his fallen friend Odin, took his son, Thor, under his wing to advise him in the ways of being a sky-father and a member of the Council.
Pan is a figure of Greek legend, mostly associated with rural settings. He is a god of woods, pastures, mountain peaks and nature. He has goat legs, and horns on his head. Christianity adopted his image to depict Satan.
