    I suspect he wont be a clear cut hero or villain.  I'm sure he's sorry for what happened, but he doesn't seem 100% keen to control his new 'arms'.

    It is the last couple panels that makes me think that he is completely made.  
     
    I wonder if he has any psychic potential, it could be a premonition
