At the start, X-23 was working as one of Zebra Daddys pimps. When one of her clients commited suicide in her hotel room, Kiden Nixon got a telepathic message telling her to go there with her friend, Cameron. The two ladies found a dead man on the floor and X-23, claws out, slitting her wrists.
Zebra Daddy wanted to find X-23 desperately and wanted to kill her because now he was losing money and business. When they got in a massive battle, X-23 stabbed Daddy through the chest just before he could shoot Kiden.
