Zatanna Visits Smallville!!

I have to admit I didn't see this one coming. Comic Vine's Hottest Female of 2008, Zatanna is making vacation plans to visit Smallville. TV Guide.com has reported that Serinda Swan will be making wishes come true on the 17th episode entitled "Hex."

Swan will appear in this season's 17th episode, "Hex," as Zatanna, a magician who grants birthday girl Chloe a wish. Having been through the wringer ever since Brainiac mind-boinked her and Doomsday crashed her wedding day, Chloe expresses a desire to lead the comparatively mild-mannered life of Lois Lane. Voilà! Chloe magically inhabits Lois' (and thus Erica Durance's) body for the bulk of the hour.***Clark is also granted a wish. But what could he possibly want for?

This will be interesting. It's great to see they are taking a lesser known character (lesser known to the non-comic book reader) and bringing them to life. It should be interesting to see how the producers will decide to dress her. Will they go with the classic look Zatanna is famous for?

I love Zatanna in the comics, hopefully she will be as good on the show

I was pleased with their Legion (more interesting to me than the comic version) so hopefully their Zatanna will also be done well

Did I mention her spells in the original story? I meant to. I wonder how it'll sound. Like if they'll just record the line and play it backwards. Guess I got a little distracting when posting that I forgot to mention it.

They should do it Twin Peaks style but I guess that wouldn't really work. What they did was actually read their lines backwards, film it and play that backwards. It made for some freaky watching. I guess this is a little off topic but I just loved that show. The backwards part starts at about 2:13.

Wow. The photo of her on the right looks like a sad photomanipulation. But a very nice glow in the second one.

Smallville has actually gotten much better since Lex Luthor has left the show... its sort of suprising. And even though they made Doomsday look like something Swamp Thing fought in one of his 80's Cult Movies... the episode he appeared in was still good

Hey what a second if Zatanna is going to be in one of the new episode of Smallville
why not Batman and Wonder Woman.They can't just add JLA Characters on
Smallville without Batman and Wonder Woman. These heroes were friends of Superman before The JLA was formed along with Dr.Fate. After all DC Comics is still thing about weather they should have a
Batman 3 or not. Wonder Wonder won't have have movie until DC is done with the Green Lantern Movie.
Without Batman and Wonder Woman it will be like making a Justice League Movie without the
Justice League.

The reason they don't have Batman or Wonder Woman is because of legal rights. Even though DC or Warners is overseeing the show, certain characters are licensed for other projects. Also since Batman has his movie franchise going, they think that having Batman on the small screen would put a damper on box office sales for the movie. They blame Smallville for Superman Returns crummy results. Nevermind the fact that they made him a deadbeat dad that wanted to break up Lois' relationship with Perry's kid.
