one the show is on cartoon network kids watch young justice too i dont think anybody is gonna die so either somebody leaves turns evil or something bad happens to the person and they must go away
Young Justice
Team » Young Justice appears in 269 issues.
Young Justice started as another legacy team consisting of a generation of sidekicks younger than the original Teen Titans lineup. Like the Teen Titans, they would eventually increase membership beyond sidekicks and make a name for themselves beyond their mentors.
Who will be the first casualty in Young Justice Animated Series?
@luckydomino1: Well Kent died in episode 7 and since their target audience is something older then 12 i don't think they're going to be THAT worried about whether kids can handle it. I mean look at the Lion King or Bambi, they're pretty famous kids films that revolve around death, so i don't see why YJ has to exclude death to protect kids feelings.

Should a character die in a cartoon?
Yes, heck even in the early power rangers a main character died
when handled properly its actually great for the shows stories and characters
@luckydomino1: They have already showed character death on the show, just because its on cartoon network doesnt automatically mean everything in the show is sunshine and rainbows. Quite a few people have died in other DC animated shows, even on the more family friendly Batman the Brave and the Bold

True
@Jnr6Lil: Well i skimmed through and read basically "Aqualad will die because he's the most usless person on the team." "Robin will die because he's the least useful on the team." then something about wally and artemis being useless too.
@Jnr6Lil: That's not really my point, though I do believe every member of the team has a use. Robin is usually the one to come up with some kind of plan and he's also a great hacker. Like you said before Aqualad is like the conscience of the team, he's the most mature being the oldest and is the glue that holds the team together. On top of that he's a great fighter and his hydrokenesis is very useful in certain scenarios.
@Jnr6Lil: How is he useless battle wise when he usually has some type of strategy and is probably the best h2h fighter on the team?
Robin is actually alot more useful than most members. If not for his immaturity he would be leading that team because obviously "strategy" is his strong suit.@cascadeking09: As in the calm one by the first to go.
Robin has use but battle wise he can be useless.
I could see Aqualad leaving the team to follow Red Arrow's path to leave the team to Robin. Though I could see Robin getting grounded by Batman first and disappearing for a while....then come back on his own as Nightwing. Artemis could leave if she has to choose between her sister and the team. Ms Martian could go if they find out she's been a white martian this whole time and the white martians invade. Kid Flash could even leave if something happens to Barry and he steps up. I just can't see anyone dying.

The reason he isn't leading the team is because he expects everyone to move when he moves and already know what to do, not because he's not good with strategy.
At this point I don't want anyone to die...but I'm sure it's coming, probably wont be till the last episode lol
@Jnr6Lil: Like who? The only others that I've seen come up with any type of strategy are Kalder and maybe Roy, who technically isn't part of the team.
Warning guys. It is already stated that the young justice Cartoonnetwork show takes place on Earth-16 not Earth-1 where the main continuity of DC comics takes place. They even said they are doing such so because it is the least defined and it gives them the most freedom from continuity restrictions. Which means folks, they're gonna throw traditional continuity out the window.
Hey they've already done that too. First Kid Flash is Wally West He is the current Flash at the moment and the most popular. Second, Zantana (along with Wally) should be adults as they are both normally full justice league members.
That being said...back to the question.
Robin: I don't think it will be Robin because he's Robin he is one of the most core members of any young superhero team in DC. Also, he is young and has room to grow. He is obviously being set up to be the next leader. And they just introduced a romantic relationship for him.
Artemis: They have spent way too much development into Artemis and Kid Flash's possible romantic relationship and are building it too slowly and steadily to kill her off. There will obviously be a twist with her, but it won't be that. By the way Artemis is not Olivia Queen...
Artemis, Cheshire's sister, is actually the Villainess Tigress. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tigress_(DC_Comics)#Artemis_CrockMy personal guess is that she is repentant and is honestly trying to be a good guy now. That Green Arrow sees that and is trying to give her a chance. Also I think she won't actually betray the team but that this detail will come up latter, throwing her into doubt, and only Wally will trust her. Or they will be dating and this will ruin their relationship and then they will fix it.As for the thing about two archers. First I think Red Arrow is mostly going to go solo. Second, Speedy/Red Arrow in the regular comics latter takes on the mantle of Arsenal. And Arsenal likes using guns. Also, Roy/Speedy/Arsenal was a villain for a while in past comics. This has a decent chance of happening again in this show as it is relatively unknown. This is probably going to be the Betrayal.
Kid Flash: First the same thing as stated above. Second I feel he is too much an Icon to kill off, killing off the Flash from a Justice league thing is crazy (Yes he is "The Flash" as I stated earlier).
Superboy: I don't think they'll kill him off either. Superman is a big name in DC and they have a lot of build up and tie in potential with the Superman-Superboy father-son relationship. Also, I think Superboy will betray the team do to "pre-programming" at some point. But it won't stick.
That means that if the death is one of the team members then that leaves: Miss Martian, Aqualad, and Zantana.
Miss Martian: in my opinion has a decent chance of dying. Her romantic sub-plot with Superboy was too rushed. And despite being super sweet, kind, and innocent is one of the least developed characters in the team. The romantic subplot with her and Superboy makes more sense if it was to set up drama for Superboy for latter when she dies. That being said she does have her own twists in store.
She is actually a White Martian not a Green Martian like M. Manhunter. They are the bad Violent ones who in cannon wiped out the green martians. Plus regular cannon says she won't die, because she murders herself (yes not suicide). She decapitates her future self that has fully embraced her White Martian heritage and the power that goes along with it. Which by the way she is according to MM "The most powerful telepath he has ever met."
Aqualad: despite being cool (way cooler than Aquaman) and a good foil to the rest of the team. I don't see any reason why he won't die. Yes he is team leader, but Robin is meant to take his place. And I don't see that power exchanging anytime soon due to natural processes.
Roy/Speedy/Red Arrow: He may die but if he does...
he will do say as Arsenal and as a villain. And it will be in a dramatic return to the light side after his fall to the dark side.
Zantana: doubt it. But, there's a chance because as many writers have said before "It is hard to write stories for magic based characters because their powers and limits are much more poorly defined than other characters. What magic can and can't do is much more unknown and most people assume it can do anything in any story, hurting the feel of risk involved, and ruining the sense of hopelessness for them to overcome if they are failing."
Side note: I think Secret will join the team because in the regular comics she is a team member. The speech thing will either get fixed normally or will be circumvented by telepathy. In the comics she has a crush on Robin and is jealous of his girlfriend. This could end up being a rivalry between Zantana and Secret. And lends credit to the idea that one of them will die. If that's the case, I doubt it will be Secret since she is already dead--and that would be redundant and feel cheap.
In reverse order of probability (for me, anyway):
6 - Aqualad. He's pretty much safe, but I'm not sure he'll still be a part of the team in the second season. He's too close to Speedy's age and experience level to stay put for too long.
5 - Artemis. Voice actress is already confirmed and she's too good of a foil as the daughter of a villain.
4 - Robin. Robin is pretty safe. Would Batman still be willing to hand out the missions if Robin died?
3 - Superboy. He died during Infinite Crisis in the comics. Would be quite a bit of irony if Superboy ended up making the ultimate sacrifice before Superman.
2 - Kid Flash. Flashs have a history of self-sacrifice in the DC universe. Consider also the possibility that he may simply get de-powered for a while.
1 - Miss Martian. Much as I hate to admit it, after the events of Failsafe I get the feeling they're prepping for a serious "Jean Grey" style moment for M'gann. She'll either go nova and save everyone or go crazy and force Superboy to put her down. I hope no.
I think the person they are going to introduce then kill off is aqua baby. They Mentioned that Mera was pregnant and I have a feeling the team is going to be involved with that. But i think Artemis will be the first to go on the team.

Well Killing Aquababy is Black Manta's Darkest Crime.
Still they never said a member of the team would die. They simply said not everyone will make it. First, dead is Kent Nelson.
My vote is Artemis. She doesn't have anything to with the comics. The characters she comes closest to resembling are Mia Dearden and Arrowette, and didn't Mia have aids? Errr. Aqualad is also a horrible leader, so there's a possibility he might die, because isn't it Robin who's supposed to lead, but was too young? (I forget..whatever) Anyway, Artemis has criminal parents, and if for some reason she gets involved or follows in her parents footsteps it might end her. I don't see how or why any of the others would die. It's a given Robin, Miss Martian, and Kid Flash won't die though.
Not sure if anyone went over it, but is it a member of the JLA that's supposed to die or is it a Young Justice member?

It could infer a number of scenarios
Actually, I think it will be Kid Flash. And then they'll replace him with Bart, which will make me very sad.

No, someone will die, the Young Justice Legacy game (which Greg Weisman said takes place between season 1 and season 2) states "One will rise. One will fall. One will die."
Well, I have seen every episode up until the last one and no one has died yet...unless someone goes in the finale, no one has died in the first season...the game and the second season is a whole different story

Haven't really heard about this death thing before and I don't know exactly what they implied.
From a ratings point of view the first name that comes to mind would be Red Tornado. He's a robot and technically an adult so fans wouldn't be hit so hard by his death. Second would be Aqualad if he goes bad like people seem to think he will he could pull a Terra and sacrifice himself to get some redemption. We've already seen that he's willing to sacrifice himself wouldn't be that surprising. The current members are all too popular to die permanently.

Okay reading this I'd be willing to bet it's the Blue Beetles (Jaime Reyes) mentor who could only be Ted Kord. Thus explaining his "mentor issues",
I don't know what to make of this...but...
