What is the reason for this heinous crime.?
Young Justice
Team » Young Justice appears in 269 issues.
Young Justice started as another legacy team consisting of a generation of sidekicks younger than the original Teen Titans lineup. Like the Teen Titans, they would eventually increase membership beyond sidekicks and make a name for themselves beyond their mentors.
so why is it getting canceled
Low ratings due to long hiatuses and schedule changes combined with low toy sales due to virtually no ad support

In layman's terms: Because WB actively crippled it, then is surprised when we don't watch it. So they cancel it for not succeeding in spite of their stupid decisions.
The ratings were fine. The second part is true thoughLow ratings due to long hiatuses and schedule changes combined with low toy sales due to virtually no ad support

Puny DC making new Teen Titans. This sound awesome.
Well it's a bit different from the usual comic cartoon. This will be a continuation of the Teen Titans cartoon that ended in 2006 (there's a reason it was cancelled!), and it's going to be a comedy.
The ratings of both YJ and Green Lantern: TAS were fine, but sadly, networks want more out of cartoons than just good ratings or critical reception (they don't really care about that one, nor fandom for that matter), they want them to sell toys, tie-in comic books, videogames and other merchandising, if they aren't able to do so the show is just not giving enough profit, and if so they don't renew the show for more seasons. Other examples that come to mind would be shows like Sym-Bionic Titans or the He-Man show from the early 2000s, and with comic book shows most of the times they replace the shows for more marketable ones (e.g. Spectacular Spider-Man for Ultimate Spider-Man). Also, i read a couple times that YJ was quite expensive to produce, and being that the show wasn't making enough money it gives more reasons for CN to cancell it (decision i'm still strongly against).
What confuses me is the decision to make a Teen Titans show instead of a Superman one, sure TT is popular, but there's a Superman movie coming out this summer, oh well, i hope they atleast do a JL cartoon when that movie comes out.

its not Teen Titans Go's fault. it was originally be launched alongside Young Justice and Green Lantern. WB killed Young Justice with all f*cking hiatuses and not advertising the merchandise enough.
it's no wonder that the toys didn't sell...they were horrible...poor sculpts and limited articulation and toys these days are expensive as he!!

Just from the little I've watched Young Justice I'd have to say is they were introducing new characters constantly and not explaining who they were or how exactly they fit into the team. But other then that I thought it was good.
Purely speculating here but my best guess is 1. Too expensive to make (that quality animation isn't cheap to produce even if it is in Korea or where ever) 2. Not selling enough toys. Merch is the name of the game and it isn't a big surprise that the longest running cartoons on air where more know for their collectables than the show.
@TheCannon: first of all its not a continuation of the 2006 series its a SEQUEL. its a dc short made into a 30 min episode series
second of all teen titans wasnt cancelled it ENDED. it was actually meant to end in season 4 (trigon) but because it was so successful, it lasted an extra season. it even had a proper ending and a movie. so idk what youre talking about.
@StrangeMan: i agree. hopefully if the superman movie or justice league movie is successful enough that may encourage them to make another young justice cartoon or a justice league cartoon where the young justice members are the sub plot. HOPEFULLY

This basically. The hiatuses alone made the show lose a lot of momentum. People just download episodes instead of watching them, again dropping ratings. And they weren't selling merchandise well enough.

Dc decided there wasn't enough Batman in it and canceled it....true story
Why am I tempted to believe this?
I wonder if people recording this on their dvr's instead of watching it when it airs is another reason for the supposedly "low" ratings.I record, but i also watch when it airs.Should air at night, around 7pm,if they still had any brains.Which doesn't seem to be the case.

my wishful thinking has me believing that this show is getting canceled so they can make a Justice League spinoff...
Kinda like Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes getting canned so they could replace it with Avengers Assemble (which is more closely related to the Avengers Movie) i think they might be rolling out a new Justice League that ties in with the upcoming Justice League movie.
Toy sales. YJ didn't have low ratings at all, so it comes down to toys not selling and Cartoon Network being retarded.
there was nothing wrong with the ratings, from what i have read, the low toy sales is what contributed to this :(
EDIT:wait a minute, what if DC gave this reason for cancellation so people would buy toys to save the show and DC would make money of a dying show? o.O
And in reality it was always bound to end after two seasons?
