I didn't catch this till someone brought this to my attention, but the show has a habit of making a significance to the number 16.

Examples: (more can be found on the YJ Wiki)

- Young Justice is set in the universe Earth-16

- Most of the kids are 16

- The Justice League were initially a team of 16 members (it is now at least 26, Zatanna and Rocket are 25 and 26 respectively)

- Red Tornado the main mentor to the kids is Justice League member 16

- The Justice League went missing for 16 hours

- The current year in Young Justice Invasion is 2016

- Many of the timestamps includes the number 16

etc.

What could it possibly mean? I don't think its a coincidence, there has to be a meaning to 16.

Either a coincidence, the love for the number 16, or we'll find out soon?

There is 16 in every episode whether its on the time stamp or its on a computer in the background...
 
I think its just something fun the writers do

Maybe Weisman or Vietti's kid turned 16 during production.

Maybe they are playing a joke to fans (They know fans will notice).....or they are planning something

First DC becomes obsessed with the number 52....now they're obsessed with 16? Maybe we'll see a massive Young Justice event movie that will cause a new DCAU with 16 new DCNation shows!?!?!?!?!!?!??!!?!?

The consistency of 16 is purposeful, but it has no bearing on the plot. It's just something the creators did for poops and giggles.

it could be nothing...but i think its something, its too much for it to just be a joke...they're drilling it into our heads and its popping up everywhere on the show, it has to mean something.

if anybody watches Futurama, i kinda think its similar to the Number 9 man lol

Writers just ttrying to throw us off for fun

Or as a marketing ploy.
