A group of teenage superheroes with powers and abilities mirroring those of the Avengers, Young Avengers was formed by Iron Lad to defeat his future self, Kang. After the team disbanded, Kate Bishop later reformed the team with new costumes. A new team has now been formed by Loki.

Marvel recently announced an upcoming one shot featuring the young avengers 
 
 
it apparently takes place in a possible alternate future  similar to the titans tommorow in dc comicswhere all the young avengers have grown up and assumed the mantles they were always meant to 
 
 
 


 

ok so we see a few obvious one  Eli as Captain America, Jonas and Kate still being the new vision and hawkeye respectively, billy as the new Captain Marvel and tommy as the new quicksilver as well as cassie in what is probably her stinger identity but who are the people in the falcon and bucky costumes? 
 
anyway from what i read on the site this is supposed to prep for the return of Iron Lad in mainstream Marvel

I like the cover and the costume, plus I'm excited to see Iron Lad again, the only thing I wish is that Marvel would give the Young Avengers their own ongoing, I don't care who's in Avengers Academy, the Young Avengers are the next generation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and they need their own book.

I'm interested. I'm not a fan of the art. At least not on this book.  
 
Hawkeye looks like Huntress, though. Who the hell is Bucky, though? Interesting that they made Hulkling into Captain Marvel when he primarily uses his Skrull powers.

Seeing as how that female Falcon is there, makes me think that's Patriot's wife and that's their kid. Honestly I think that's pretty dumb since Eli and Kate were great together.

Yeah...I don't understand why they included her, at all. I'm not sure how I feel about Eli not having a shield, either.

Well looking at how Iron Lad was already in the Avengers Crusade mini-series, maybe after seeing this future it's the reason that causes him to return to the present and help the team out?

@War Killer: Probably. Hopefully after Children's Crusade they can get YA back on a normal monthly schedule, as well.

@iLLituracy: That would be nice, seeing as all of the other Avengers have their own ongoings, it would be great to see where the YA fit into the whole Heroic Age.

O_o I just frekain' noticed that the Bucky has guns? Why the heck does the KID need guns for? Captain America wouldn't support that <_<

I Like them.. but ,why they look like Original Avengers, why not wear new clothes and they look like the old Avengers ...and where is Wiccan.. i like his old outfit style but, for lady hawkeye ,Speed and teddy i like they new outfit :D
