One of the two main teenage superhero teams the Young Americans exemplify chaste, clean, conservative Christian living as opposed to the Teenage Kix who practice a more edgy and wild team attitude and persona. Lead by Drummer Boy, the Young Americans is made up of Starlight, Holy Mary, General Issue and The Standard. The Young Americans are an updated revamp of a World War 2 era superhero team also known as the Young Americans. The Young Americans are Vought-American sponsored but also are associated with various Christian youth groups as well with the Young Republicans.

    Creation

The Young Americans are a Dynamite Entertainment comic book team, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. They appear in The Boys series and are first depicted in The Boys #20. One of their members Starlight is a main character of the series and references her old team occasionally.
